Dear Family of Love,
As we await the grand jury decision from Ferguson let us all be at prayer and united in heart an spirit as we await the announcement. We need to be ready to speak truth to power and do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God. We must remain calm and know that God is with us Let us not fall into the trap and become bigots or show hateful bias. We all are God's children and that includes everyone even those who commit acts of violence and we don't agree with.
Let us be at prayer.
God we pray that as we await the announcement of the grand jury's decision in Ferguson that we will be united in peace, united seeking justice, and united in love.
God we pray for all communities where acts of violence have occurred. May we stand steadfast with them and rise to the challenge of abolishing all isms and labels.
God we pray for all parents and loved ones who have lost their family members in acts of senseless violence.
God we pray for peace in our cities, towns, states, countries, and the world.
God we pray this day for all parents and loved ones are dealing with acts of violence committed by their children and loved ones.
God we pray for peace in our heart, minds, and spirits during times of personal crisis.
God we pray for all who protect, defend, and serve us daily. We pray that they may use good sense and not take the law into their own hands.
God we pray for peace in our schools and for all who teach and those who learn.
God we pray for all who are victims of abuse and domestic violence.
God we pray for all safe houses, domestic violence shelters and all who need to find safety.
God we pray for all those who are mentally ill . We pray that their family members may be vigilant and get help for them when they need it
God we pray this day that we may be at peace and that peace may prevail at all times and in all places.
God we lift up these our payers in the name of your son Jesus. Amen.
