A little bit of rain and a whole lot of praying in place

Dear Family of  Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

I was reluctant to walk with the weather the way it has been today with the rain and all. So I decided we would stay home and pray in place and enjoy keeping warm. Tonight our prayers will be as varied as the weather. This week instead of doing a mini-walk, I would like you all to go outside if  you can and take a look at your neighborhood and city streets and take a look for unsafe conditions and report them to the correct officials. Take a notebook  with you in the car if you see something unsettling. There is no time like the present to start alerting your city officials. I would even suggest taking a look at your most traveled paths, where you do business,  and yes even where you worship.

                                      This Week's Prayer Cycle

Prayers for troubled nations: Syria, Ukraine, and South Sudan,
For those who suffer from addiction and those who love and care for them.
We pray for all those who are addiction treatment specialists.
We pray for those who have lost their lives from substance abuse remembering Phillip Seymour Hoffman and all those like him.
We pray for those who continue to grieve.
We pray for our children and adults who battle diabetes.
We pray for those awaiting diagnosis and test results of any kind.
For the victims of violence and abuse.
For those discerning vocations and those seeking new avenues of employment.
For rain and may it continue.
For those who travel either long or short distances.
For peace in God's world and an end to violence and terror.
For all of our family members including our pets.
For all medical professionals
For our government at all levels.
For those with chronic illnesses and pain and autoimmune disorders!
For our family and all of our most vulnerable and fragile members.
