Mystic Moons and Wonder!

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on our Journey,

Wow! It is a nippy nippy night! I'm home safe and the sirens are starting and we pray for all those who have to work in the cold, snow, and at night and especially our first responders. On tonight's walk there were lots of mystic moons and wonderful cloudy vistas up above. How many of you were able to go outside and get some fresh air and walk in God's Cathedral of Life today? I know some of you couldn't due to the snow, ice, and very cold conditions. I will pray for less snow if you'll pray for much needed rain here in our neck of the woods. Is that a deal? Deal! I listened to the sound track of  "Touched by an Angel' tonight on our prayer walk. It does a nice job of calming one down and setting the right tone. Della Reese always puts a smile on my face and a spring in my step. Sometimes it is necessary to mix up the  music mix and go for a little more upbeat tempo. I know I needed it tonight because of the cold weather. So don't be afraid to change things ups when you prayer walk. Tonight I looked where the clothing was last evening and it was gone and I was glad.

I'm always surprised by the mystical moon pictures I get on night's like these. Seeing the wonder of God's Cathedral of life makes it even more special when we walk and when we pray. Tomorrow if you can take a look around and explore the world outside. I'm finding lots of little hidden gems that you probably wouldn't know exist. Just be in a well lit and busy area. Be careful and safe are our watchwords from now on. Remember when I was telling you about our streetlights? I found out that if you have street lights on Broadway and Main in our town they are maintained by Cal-Trans so I reported pole 1690 to Cal Trans! I have to have dinner and I'll be right back! Forgot last evening and it wasn't a very good sleep ! I'm back and I had spinach and cheese tortellini with zinfandel marinara sauce! Yummy!  The sirens are sounding in our town again. Please pray. Let us have a brief time of prayer and then you'll have photos and music.

Dear Lord watch over all those who work in the cold and dark places tonight   May your holy guardian angels watch over the homeless, hungry, cold, elderly, disabled, and our public safety officials.

We pray for safety in Sochi as the Winter Olympics begin. We pray for the nations, athletes, teams, coaches, and visitors who will be attending and competing.

We pray that  the Olympic Ideals may be a beacon of hope to all the oppressed people and nations and especially the LGBT community in Russia and all countries where our family members cannot be themselves and constantly live in fear and hide. 

We pray for all who are awaiting surgery and test results.

We pray for all who travel this weekend and that the weather may cooperate and that our family members may be able to meet their obligations. 

We pray for all of our family members who are discerning vocations, changes in life plans, and considering change of any kind.

Watch over the victims of violence and abuse. We pray that all perpetrators my be caught and brought to justice.

We pray for all who are ill and have chronic illness and pain.

We pray for rain  to heal this drought affected land.

We pray for these our family members who have asked for prayers_________________________

Lord God these prayers of ours may be simple and brief but you O Lord know what is in our hearts, minds, and spirits. We ask you to help us let go and let You  Take the lead in our lives and walk with you on on the Journey you have planned for us. We invite you on our journey just as you have invited us. Give us the peace of mind and heart to find rest, relax, and wake up renewed and refreshed to meet the day to come. Amen.
