A quiet night on the prayer line ! We pray none the less.

Dear Family of  Love,

Tonight it has been a quiet night on the prayer line. We will pray none the less. I think everyone is emotionally tired due to all the violence and sadness that has happened throughout the week.We all get tired. Even yours truly due to all the travel I have been doing the past few weeks. This is where good Sabbath Care comes into play. Whether or not we belong to a faith community we still need to take time for rest and meditation. Some of us will find that difficult due to the fact we are lay and ordained ministers. MMS ( Multiple Ministry Syndrome) can send us all on a downward slope when we least expect it. For those of us who are in the ministry of the laity we all need to examine what we are truly called to do and be. This can apply to those of you who are in discernment of a new life path or new employment. This is why Self-Care and Sabbath Care days are so important for body, mind, and spirit. Our Trinitarian selves need to strive for body, mind, and spirit balance. We must take these two days on the weekend for resting, relaxing, refreshing, renewing, and reflecting upon our lives and how we can beat all the stresses and anxieties. God  wants us to dedicate one Day to God  and keep it holy. We as pilgrims on Walk With Me On Our Journey give each day of the week to God and As God is Holy so are we. Every moment that we live, move, and just be is holy as is every place on the planet is.  Our prayer time is a holy time of sending love letters to our family members and all those in  need or are struggling via God and a time for introspection and grace filled moments. Here are the words from Leviticus that was our first lesson for today ! It gives us a road map in which to follow.

Leviticus 19:1-2,15-18

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

You shall not render an unjust judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great: with justice you shall judge your neighbor. You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not profit by the blood of your neighbor: I am the LORD.

You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Tonight we will take time to reflect on how we can find refreshment for our bodies, minds, and spirits when we are in troubled and times of dis-ease. Tonight you may if you so desire take out your timers, mindfulness apps, or music selection. Tonight's musical selection will be::Montserrat Caballe - the Prayer with Paintings by Peter Paul Rubens and mix or this Sacred music of Tomas Luis Victoria

Holy God help us to be the holy people that you made us to be and may we never forget that we are called to be holy and live holy lives each day that we live, move and just be.

Holy God we pray that  peace may prevail upon Earth and in Your fragile and broken world.

Holy God may listen to your still small voice and follow where you lead us.

Holy God we pray for all of our family members who are ill that they may be healed.

Holy God we pray for all children who are ill, abused, and bullied  We pray for their protection and that we may be lovingly responsive to them.

Holy God we pray for all those who are pre-grieving their loved ones who are transitioning into the Thin Places.

Holy God we pray for all of us who are facing a busy week. Help us to have energy to complete the tasks at hand.

Holy God we pray for all the least of these who are hungry, homeless, and in need. May we lovingly respond to our family members.

Holy God we give thanks this day for all that you brought into it even when we don't see all them as good at the time.

Holy God we pray this night for all who protect us from harm.

Holy God we pray for rain to cleanse, heal, and revive our land and broken world.

Holy God we pray for ourselves and those who have come to us for prayer remembering especially ________

Holy God come among us this night and unite us lovingly with you as the Family of God.
