What to say about today? It was awesome!

Dear Family of Love!

What to say about today? Awesome! God is Good! God Calls us to be in the right place at the right time! Today I had another wonderful opportunity to worship at All Saints Church Pasadena. One of what I call my various places of pilgrimage. Yes you can have other places of worship as places of pilgrimage. This morning I attended the Rector's Forum. Last year it was Bishop Gene Robinson and this year it was : "ISIS, Islam, and the Middle East," with Salam Al-Marayati President of the Muslim Public Affairs Council of Los Angeles. Lots of things for me to think about before I share some of the tid bits I learned! What you keep hearing about Islam may be misguided and from your knowledge from extreme factions of Islam which are not the norm. Remember Islam, Judaism, and Christianity fall under what we call the 3 Abrahamic Faiths which all have Semitic origins. More later on this topic. The service was wonderful and had a lot of upbeat music, the sermon was dynamite, and we all had a period of mindfulness meditation just like we do every night. Today I felt like I was walking into a service that  has the flavor and themes of that we talk about each day. Tonight let us take time to reflect upon the weekend and begin gently preparing for the second day of the week and You Matter Monday! Tonight let us listen to this music as we begin to prepare ourselves for prayer.

God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Ishmael may we find unity with all of our family members in love, mercy, justice and peace.

We pray for all the war torn areas of the world and protection for all of our brothers and sisters.

We pray for all who are living with mental illness. We pray that we may reach out and support with love and compassion to them and their caregivers.

We pray for our family members who are ill that they may be healed of their illnesses.

We pray for the least of these and all the wonderful things they bring to this world. We give thanks to God that they are reminders to all of our family members who need to be aware that not everyone is fortunate.

Give us strength to speak truth to power and keep doing it until Justice rolls down

Take away all of our fears, hate, isolationism, and replace it with trust, love, and unity.

We pray for all who are dying and have died today and entered into the Thin Places with Joy and gladness.

We pray this night for all who travel that they may safely arrive at their destination.

We pray for ourselves and on behalf of others

We pray for all faith communities and leaders who enrich our lives each day. .

We give thanks this night for _______________ and that we may put on an attitude of Gratitude

We pray that we will awake refreshed, renewed, and re-created to do the work and service God is calling us to do.

We pray for rain and the cleansing and healing of Your Creation.

We ask these our prayers in Jesus' most Holy Name. Amen.

Good Night Loved Ones and Family Members. I love you ! Take time for more Sabbath rest and time for more self-care and start preparing for the week ahead. Remember you do not get to take any of the worries, fears, anxieties and any other concerns out of the Worry/ Sabbath Box until  tomorrow evening.  Remember tomorrow is You Matter Monday! You matter today and always!

Love, prayers, blessings, and an attitude of gratitude for you always,

Sara
