Forgiving and Loving those who set your teeth and heart on edge.

Dear Family of Love,

Happy Take Care Tuesday! Tonight I decided to take a walk down Memory Lane and visit Adam School where I attended Kindergarten and Sixth Grade. This is an almost yearly visit that reminds me of many things, some things good and other things not so good. This is the school where I was diagnosed with learning disabilities, was bullied, and  how should I say this in a way that is kind?Nope! I can't do it ! I was attacked and made to take my clothes off in the girl's restroom by another girl in Sixth grade. Not the best memories but necessary ones that helped me to learn how to forgive and be loving to those who do things that are inexplicable and unspeakable. I am always amazed as I walk around the school that I don't feel angry or disgusted. I only feel sorrow and forgiving towards those who have wronged me in the past,  who wrong me presently, and those who will wrong me in the future. Forgiveness is much like grieving a process like no other that makes us enter into a roller coaster of emotions and the one thing that is necessary for healing, an open and loving heart that allows for us not to skip steps. Growing in love, faith, and spiritually takes time and grace with quite a few grace filled moments. Who are our family members who need forgiving and loving? Who are our family members who set our teeth and hearts on edge?  What does this feel like to you? It may not feel the same to anyone else but you! How do you go forward and love our family members just like Jesus taught us?  My answer to that question is  this put on love like a sweater and and share the sweater to our family member who is in need of love, warmth, and forgiveness.  It is never easy but it can and must be done. It's the same as when we love our neighbor, enemy, stranger, bully, hater, person who holds different religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and anyone else who makes us feel uncomfortable. Those people who make us feel uncomfortable are our family members sent by God to show and tell us things that are necessary for us to live in community.  So let us be in community with one another and get down to the business of loving, forgiving, and serving each other as the Family of God or as I call you the Family of Love!

Let's do a heart labyrinth virtual prayer walk tonight! Pray and ask God to help God to learn how to love and forgive and set y/our heart(s) ablaze with love for all humankind.

Be Still, My Soul

We offer our humble and tender hearts to you O, God  this night.

We pray and give thanks that you made forgiveness and love possible in this your fragile world.

We come to you with humility asking for forgiveness of all wrongs we have done this day. Help us to atone and be at one with you again.

We pray for all of our tender souled family members who are in need of our prayers and kind deeds.

We pray for peace in our hearts, minds, spirits, and in this world now more thank ever that we may become truly the Family and Children of  God.

We pray this night for all who are ill and who are in need of healing of body, mind, and spirit.

We pray this night that we remember that wherever we plant our feet, look to the skies, touch with our hands, is holy. May we remember this holiness always.

We  pray that we may always remember that every day is holy and that we must be aligned with you not just on Sundays.

We pray for all who are refugees, prisoners, captives, asylum seekers, and those who have been victimized by violence, terror, injustice, and abuse. We pray especially for all women and children who have been victims of human trafficking.

We pray that our hearts may be filled with love, joy, hope, and peace and hearts that are equipped for loving and forgiving all of our family members.
