Unity, love, and family hood!

Dear Family of  Love !

I hope everyone had a beautiful Self-Care Saturday and you did something meaningful for yourself and another family member. Today as I was preparing the lessons that I will read tomorrow at the 11:00 a.m. service it dawned on me that God wants us all to be united with God and each other. This is another one of those things that we are not let off the hook. God wants us to live in love, unity, and family hood. I find that  love, unity, and family hood are the most important ingredients for us to have so that we may live our lives in peace.  We need to tap into these ingredients in order to make peace and be the family of God, God wants us to be. We must remember that God will never leave us and will always come and find us no matter what. God want's us together. We need to stop being afraid to be united. We must strive to be united and that means using our words in a loving and calm manner. We must use our minds and hearts to  dial into each other. As family members there are more things we share that can united us than those things that divide us.  Tomorrow let us work on our what unites us list. This will give us something to to pray about in the afternoon as part of  our prayer time on the Sabbath. 

Tonight let us take time to find peace by doing our mindfulness time. This might make you sleepy but that may be just what you need.  Let's start with our breathing exercises:

God we pray that we may be united as your children .
Bind us together as one.

God we pray for all of our family members who are estranged one from another.

God we pray for peace in this fragile and broken  world.
Bind us together as one.

God we pray for all of our family members who are in need of  love and care.
God help us to be loving and caring towards each other.

God we pray for all who are ill in body, mind, and spirit.
God help us to be loving and caring towards each other.

God we pray for all who are mourning and in tender times.
God help us to be loving and caring towards each other.

God we  pray that we may be united in family hood.
God  may we speak with kind and loving words.

We pray that we may love, God,, all our family members, and ourselves tenderly and with out fear
God help us to love even our enemies and those who hate us.

Accept these our prayers of unity, love, and family hood in the Holy Name of Jesus. Amen.
