Love Challenge Week : Beginning to put the pieces together and into action

Dear Family of Love,

Happy Keeping The Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting! Wow I can't believe we are moving into our Self -Care and Sabbath Rest Weekend! That means it is time once again for us to put our worries, anxieties, et al into the Worry/ Sabbath Box. That is our first task before we do our ponder work.  Take your time. When we started this week our task was and is to love our enemies, haters, and family members who differ from us and ask ourselves how we can be of help to them. As it is Friday and those of us who are intentionally following the Lenten season we all know what Fridays represent. Fridays remind us of Good Fridays today I want to change that up a bit and turn Fridays just for a little while into God Fridays and most especially Love Fridays. These mean we put into practice the art of forgiveness by deeply caring and loving our big family members who are or have been our enemies, haters, and estranged from us by differences and circumstances. God gave us these Fridays because He knew the value of family times over the weekends. Family times are times where we learn what it is to love, be loved, and be united as CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, And Merciful) brothers and sisters. This is where we put on our love energy with courage, light, and enlivened spirits. Okay dear brothers and sisters it is time to check in with your family members this weekend or after you read this blog. If you are having any problems connecting with your enemies, haters, and family members with whom you differ please take time to pray and if you need to go see a trusted friend, pastor, imam, rabbi, or PM me on Facebook, DM me on Twitter, or email me at walkwithmeonourjourney@gmail.com . Remember everything we do is step by step and should not be forced. When you are ready you will know.

To get us ready for our weekend let us spend time with our 'Be Stills"

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that God is Love.
Be still and know that You are Love.
Be sill and know that I Am Love.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Slowly inhale.
Hold.
Slowly exhale

Pause. Count to 10.

Repeat 4 times!

Now sit quietly and reflect up the day past and enjoy your visit with God. Open wide your heart homes and feel God filling you up with Love Energy.

On this Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting, we light our candles and be at prayer as we keep our tradition of Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigils. Tonight we pray for forgiveness and to let go of anything that is causing division among us. We pray for peace within our hearts and in our worlds. We pray for an end to violence, hatred, fear, bigotry, and anything else in our country that keeps us from being a truly united people in service and for the common good of all. Help us to see God/Love in the eyes of our enemies, haters, the least of these who are our family members, and in ourselves as well. Help us to build bridges and tear down walls.

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

For our Enemies  (From the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER)
O God, the Father of all, whose Son commanded us to love our enemies: Lead them and us from prejudice to truth; deliver them and us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge; and in your good time enable us all to stand reconciled before you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For our extra ponder work if you so desire:

Our Theme of Action: Week 3: Challenging ourselves to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us. How can we be of help to them.

Our secondary theme comes from the Gospel for the Second Sunday in Lent :  Being a modern prophet in and out of our own Jerusalems and the Jerusalems throughout the world.

The seven Keywords and concepts are these: The words in bold are the past key words and concepts. For more thought, prayer, meditation and study you may go back and look at them.

 Prophet
Jerusalem
Going against authority
Fearlessly serving
Comforting and gathering the flock in a desolate city and sometimes being prevented in doing so.
Tomorrow's keyword and concept:
Pharisees

Where are the modern day Jerusalems?

Questions regarding our Keyword and Concept:

Comforting and gathering the flock in a desolate city and sometimes being prevented in doing so.

What would Jesus Do?
How would you be creative in bringing people together in a less than hospitable city or situation?
What ways could you find to be of help and be Good Samaritans?
Could you comfort refugees in dangerous places on their journeys to freedom and asylum?
Where are the desolate and uncaring cities and places of the world?

++++++++++

Good Night Dear Ones! Take time to start laying things down for the weekend and be at one with God and each other. I love you and give God thanks for you this day and always!

Peace, love, prayers, and God's blessings,

Sara
