Love Challenge Week continues! The biggest challenge of all ! Loving oneself!

Dear Family of Love,

Happy Self-Care and Sabbath Rest Weekend. We find ourselves yet again on retreat and that isn't always easy with all the hustle and bustle life has to offer. We must take time to love ourselves no matter what because if we don't we might find ourselves in the land of dis-ease and become spiritually unwell. Tonight dear ones we are going to go off our usual trek into serious ponder work to take time for more mindfulness and self care. There will be plenty of time to journal and meditate with this week's themes and keywords and concepts tomorrow when you turn off the TV and go off the grid.  We begin our time together with our virtual labyrinth walk before we do our "Be Stills" Use your mouse for your feet. So lets travel into the center of our heart homes to be at one with God.

Tonight's walk will be done in silence! Remember silence is golden and especially during the Lenten Season.

After you complete the labyrinth walk let us meditate on how we can learn to love ourselves who might just be our enemy, hater, and the one family member we seldom think we are estranged from.

Take time to put your timer on or if you must please play this peace of music: The Summons- Bell

Let us now take time for our "Be Stills" Modified version.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that God is Love.
Be still and know that You are Love.
Be sill and know that I Am Love.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Slowly inhale.
Hold.
Slowly exhale

Pause. Count to 10.

Repeat 4 times!

It is now time for our daily Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigil. Let us light our candles and be at prayer. Tonight let us offer our prayers for peace in the world. For an end to all forms of excessive violence and hatred. We pray that we may be agents of CALM (Compassion,Acceptance, Love, and Mercy) We pray for the homeless, hungry, and all of our family members who may lack warm clothing. We pray for our family members who need safe shelter, nourishing food, and warm clothing and blankets. We pray that we may learn to love God, our family members, our enemies and haters, and ourselves more fully. We pray for all of our family members who are celebrating Sabbath time and all ministers who are in preparation for tomorrow.

Prayers from long ago!

Lord God help us to weather the storms of life and know that you still reside and speak to us even in life's storms and whirlwinds.

Lord God we pray for safety and alertness all the days of our lives. Keep our eyes, ears, and minds alert when we drive, walk, or bike.

Lord God be with all our family members who are in danger throughout the world.

Lord God keep us mindful of the lonely, lost, elderly, young adults, and all those whose families are  estranged.

May we continue to be reminded to connect and reconnect with all our loved ones.

Lord God help us to be hope givers,  peace makers, bringers of joy and love light shiners to this broken world.

Lord God give us the courage and strength to take care of our personal infrastructures ( bodies, minds, and spirits.)

Musical Prayer Interlude: I want Jesus to Walk With Me

May we continue to Walk with you on our Journey.
We want Jesus to Walk with us on our journey.

May we continue to be your feet Spreading your love and Gospel Message to the World.
We want Jesus to Walk with us on our journey

May we continue to walk and speak truth to power and continue to do Justice, Love mercy, and walk humbly with you every day that we live.
We want Jesus to walk with us on our journey.

Give us feet, spirits, and hearts that are enlivened to do what you are calling us to do and to be.
We want Jesus to walk with us on our journey.

Give us courage to love all of our family members of differing faiths and may we know that Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, and the Buddha walk with us in love and familyhood.
We want God the Creator who made us all to walk with  us on our journey.

Lord God we know that you walk with us everyday that we live and in the Thin Places. Help us to know and feel your presence every minute  with every breath we breathe, we know that You are the Living Water that courses through our veins, enlivening our Spirits, quickening our steps and expanding and tenderizing our hearts to do your will in your service and in service to others. Amen.

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.
-
For our Enemies  (From the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER)
O God, the Father of all, whose Son commanded us to love our enemies: Lead them and us from prejudice to truth; deliver them and us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge; and in your good time enable us all to stand reconciled before you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For our extra ponder work if you so desire:

Our Theme of Action: Week 3: Challenging ourselves to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us. How can we be of help to them.

Our secondary theme comes from the Gospel for the Second Sunday in Lent :  Being a modern prophet in and out of our own Jerusalems and the Jerusalems throughout the world.

The seven Keywords and concepts are these: The words in bold are the past key words and concepts. For more thought, prayer, meditation and study you may go back and look at them.

 Prophet
Jerusalem
Going against authority
Fearlessly serving
Comforting and gathering the flock in a desolate city and sometimes being prevented in doing so.
Pharisees
Tomorrow's keyword and concept:
Where are the modern day Jerusalems?
