Protecting our hearts in more ways than one!

Dear Family of Love!

Happy Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting! Today I had the privilege to attend the American Heart Association's Go Red Wear Red For Women luncheon out at the Santa Maria Country Club. The #GoRedWearRed campaign is designed as creating awareness of heart disease and strokes in women. We women are risk for these conditions more than some cancers combined. Our keynote speaker Joe Piscatella talked to us on being heart healthy. Being heart healthy is very important for our bodies, minds, and spirits. We need to add these things to our Lenten discipline to help us make our heart health a priority (This goes for you too dear brothers):

Watch our diets
Exercise.
Do breathing exercises
Turn off the nightly news on TV
Meditate/ Go to Church
Watch your stress
Keep in the present

The list above looks very familiar doesn't it? We talk about this all the time so these are ways in which we can protect our hearts. When our heart homes hurt our body's hearts hurt. Everything and everyone  are interconnected.

Tonight take time to rest your bodies, minds, and spirits and prepare for Sabbath Rest and Self-Care weekend. Don't forget to lay down your burdens and write down all those things that need to go into the Worry/ Sabbath Box. Don't look at them until Monday night.

Time for our "Be Stills!'

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be.

Inhale
Hold
Exhale

Pause.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be.

Inhale
Hold
Exhale

Pause.
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be.

Inhale
Hold
Exhale

Pause.

Now just sit quietly and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Dear Ones It is Time for our nightly Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigil. Let us light our candles and pray for peaceful hearts and that we may become peacemakers to a fragile and broken world. We pray for all people who have heart disease and have had strokes. We pray that we may protect our hearts by getting our bodies, minds, and spirits in good health. We pray for an end to hatred and bullying and division. May we with the open hearts that God has given us be the Light and Love to all our family members each and every day that we live, move, and just be.

A Weekend of  Prayer  For the Peace and Unity of the World

We pray for healing of God's Cathedral of Life and divisions between all of the Family of God that we may all be united in Love and Purpose to come together and work to be good stewards for the common good of all and of all living things.

We continue to pray for rain to heal our drought parched land and the gifts that rain brings to your Cathedral of Life.

For ourselves and what ever is on our hearts and minds tonight and this weekend.

We pray for peace and unity of the World

We pray for our refugee,  homeless, hungry, poor, marginalized, and oppressed family members.

.
For the LGBTQ community throughout the world who are in danger and lack the human and civil rights that our other family members have.

For a the Nations of the World and their  Governmental leaders that their hearts  may be softened to what is right and that they may grant equal rights to everyone.
