A wonderful evening just to quiet the mind, pray, and feel the cool breezea

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

It was a wonderful evening juts to quiet the mind, pray, and walk with God at the time of the evening breeze.
This evening instead of loading up our prayer list with a whole bunch of names. I left everything in God's loving, merciful, and grace-filled hands. It has been awhile where I could just be with God and enjoy God's Cathedral of Life. I invite all of you to do the same. You will find it a wonderful and wonder-filled and spirit-filled experience. It is a kind of self-emptying experience. We had the same thing when I was on retreat at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino when we did our morning prayer walk. Let's practice this now:
***********************
If you are at home, I invite all to begin with me a time of quieting the mind and being at peace.
Remember our Worry/Sabbath box? Write down all of you anxieties, worries, fears and any thing else that is keeping your mind from being at peace. Place them in the box for now and maybe for the remainder of the weekend.
Take off your shoes only if you are at home otherwise if you are walking turn down the sound on your iPod or Mp3 player.
Start taking deep breaths with your eyes closed and begin to go to your happy place. If you are walking turn down the sound or don't have the music playing at all.
Invite God to be with you throughout this meditation either sitting our walking. If you have a few prayers and prayer requests do those now.
Now begin to imagine the cool breeze and sunlight holding you as God is holding you and welcoming you as God's beloved child. If you are walking what do  you see, hear, smell, or feel?  You can ask yourself the same things praying in place.
As the music is playing what emotions and senses do you feel. Do you feel peaceful or are you all jazzed up? If you feel jazzed up, I would change the music. It might rattle the anxieties lose. Need a list of music email me or write it in the comment box.
Take time to unwind your mind and be at peace wherever you are.
When you are ready to open your eyes and be present, give thanks to God for all God's gifts and blessings.
I would suggest doing this whenever you are being stressed or over wrought by worry, fear, or anxiety.

Please keep in prayer tonight the people in Harlem and those who were on the Malaysian Air flight. We pray for the families, friends, and investigators.
Please pray for the Ukraine and those in Crimea. We pray for an end to all the hostilities and those seeking to make this region unstable.
For all women, children, and those who have been forgotten.
We pray for Peace in all the troubled and politically unstable countries in the  world and those who do not take care of their citizenry and provide them with human and civil rights.
We pray for all those who are traveling/
We pray for all who have cancer, chronic illnesses, and pain management issues.
We pray for Growth in our faith communities and all religious leaders who are preparing for worship tomorrow.
We pray for all who are grieving loss of any kind.
We pray for all those who are discerning vocations and new life paths.
We pray for our nation and peace in this broken world.
We pray for all those who are marginalized and victims of abuse.
We now pray additional prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances.

God most holy we lift all our worries, anxieties, fears, and all those things that prevent us from quieting our minds and being present with you. We lay our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances in to your hands O God knowing that you are already doing with them the best for all concerned. In your most holy name. Amen.
