Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,
When was the last time you had any fun? I'm telling you today that life is too short not to have any I'm reminded of this song sung by Tony Bennett Are You Having Any Fun? Click on the link and have a little fun. It's time to paint the town any color you like. I'm trying to find fun in every day that I live. Like taking funny selfies! God wants us to have joy and lots of it. So here is your weekend check list for having fun!
Like to go to the playground? Go on the swings and slide down the slide! Run the bases! Take a trip down memory lane when you were a child. Merry-Go-Round might be the ticket too!
Sing at the top of your lungs in the shower or when you are walking.
Challenge your children or friends by playing old games you used to play.
A movie would be good too.
Find a Karaoke bar and sing even if it is off key!
Experiment with food and try a new restaurant that you've never been too.
Read books!
Dance around the house or find a place with a dance floor and go dancing!
Do an impromptu party and meet up!
If you are single take yourself out on a date! Ladies glam it up ! Men do the coat and tie routine if you don't usually do, if you usually do, do the opposite.
Go have a mani-pedi and or spa day.
Find a last minute hotel deal and stay in a four star hotel in the same town or in the next city over.
For all of us who are church goers ! Go attend a different church, this will only work if you aren't on the rota.
Go for a drive, walk on the beach, take a hike, etc.
Get your family together and have a day looking at old photos and share memories.
Do an at home wine tasting !
The list is endless! That should help everyone out! Remember God wants you to have joy!

Dear God help us to have joy in our lives even when it seems like the marine layer has come to reside in our lives. May we have joy.
God may we find joy in the simple things of life without having to stretch the limits of our imagination and bank accounts. May find joy in the simple things.
God may we bring joy to others by being there as a shoulder to lean on and someone to do things with.
Help us to be joy bringers.
God may we help our family members who are ill to have joy.
God may we remember to have a good sense of humor around them.
God may we find joy filling our hearts with the Holy Spirit, so that we may have our steps quickened, our spirits enlivened, and our hearts tenderized and expanded. May we feel joy like Living Waters coursing through our veins.
God may we share joy to those who sorrow remembering those who are grieving by being compassionate and listening family members.
