The Third day of prayer walking the Whole Holy 3 ( A happy triduum of prayer and thanksgiving)

Dear Family of  Love and Pilgrims on Our Life's Journey Together,

A quiet night for prayer walking! Town was not as busy as you'd expect on a Friday evening. That's a better fit for prayer walking, introspection, and listening to God at the time of the evening breeze. I think that I'm getting the hang of being alone on a Friday evening in the house. The silence is very soothing and healing. Friday's are a perfect fit for contemplation and prayer not to mention reflecting on the week past so that you and we can enjoy the weekend without clouds hanging over our heads.  Let's do a 10 minute reflection and then have a time of prayer. Set your timer or what ever device you choose to 10 minutes. Reflect on the week and ask God to help you let go of all the garbage in your minds, hearts and spirits. You may also listen to this :

Dear God as we approach this weekend we ask that you help us to lay down our burdens and help us to unwind our minds that we may take time for rest, self-care, and our time with you on the Sabbath day.

We pray for all of our family members who must work in the fields every day of the week due to labor shortages.

We pray for our family members who must work nights and weekends and for safety in their places of employment.

We pray for our family members who are homeless and hungry.

We pray for all of our family members who have been affected by crazy weather patterns and flooding. We pray especially for rain to heal the drought parched areas of our country and world.

We pray for peace in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, South Sudan, and all war torn areas of the world.

We pray for peace and respect among all people's of the earth and that love and acceptance may grow and the need for overpowering peoples may cease.

We pray for all of our religious leaders and communities that as they prepare for worship on their days of Sabbath observances. We pray that we may foster love for one another and that dignity, respect and acceptance may grow.

We pray that we may be responsible stewards of God's Cathedral of Life and that we may practice water and environmental conservation.

We pray for all those who are ill and those that have received bad news about their illnesses. Comfort, heal, and may they feel your arms wrapped tightly around them.

We pray for all who travel and for safety on our roads, sidewalks, and thoroughfares.

We pray for all women, children, elderly, and the vulnerable.

We remember those with mental illness, learning disabilities, those living with PTSD, and Alzheimers and dementia and all who care for them.

We pray for all caregivers that they may receive respite and learn self-care.

We pray and remember those who have died today and those who have entered into Eternal Joy and Light.

We pray for those who mourn any loss that they may feel your comfort and that we may step up in their time of need and in their grief.

We celebrate and Give thanks to God for___________________

We pray for ourselves and those whom we have been asked to pray for remembering especially_________

Gracious and loving Christ we lift up these our prayers to you this day in your most Holy Name. Amen.
