Let's not find ourselves falling prey to the Faith Fog! Let us wake up and be alive and faith filled!

Dear Family of Love!

I don't know if it is because I'm getting older or that I'm being more aware of the Sun going down earlier than I had expected it to. This is the first full orbit into fall since Dad's passing and that has become really noticeable. Last year it was chemo brain , depression, un-diagnosed diabetes, and grief all rolled into one. Not to mention the fatigue. We who live with chronic illness sometimes join the ranks of the mentally foggy and observations aren't crystal clear. This sometimes happens with our relationships with each other, God, and yes even ourselves. We must endeavor to shake ourselves out of the complacency of going through the motions on our faith journey. That is why I do write new prayers almost every night so that we aren't constantly rooted in being rote.  We aren't called to be Stepford and Robotic family members of  God! Our faith in God must be vibrant and alive. Our faith in God must be given breathing room and lots of room to grow and flourish.  Our faith in God must be rooted in love and compassion without question and without conditions. Our faith in God means we must trust God, each other, and ourselves enough to be authentic. Our faith in God means we must learn and keep learning many things that God has to show us in and out of the Bible. Our faith in God means we must keep our eyes pealed, ears primed, hearts awakened  as we walk the holy path that God has set our bodies, minds, and spirits on ! Being in relationship with God means we must be alive, active, and in tune with all that it good and holy. That means we get to expand our heart homes and use as much of the Love Energy we have to make a difference in the world and in the lives of  every person on the planet and in God's Cathedral of Life. This week's challenge is to care for the stranger, the lonely, the grieving, and anyone who is in need of  a soft place to fall. If that is that pesky neighbor so be it. Let us not find ourselves falling prey to the Faith Fog! Let us wake up and be alive and faith filled.

Tonight let us be at one with God in prayerful meditation.  Let's see how you do without the mindfulness exercise info. Stop here and do not look below.  NO PEEKY! NO PEEKY! NO PEEKY! NO PEEKY! NO PEEKY, NO PEEKY!....................

If you need the info and can't remember the steps the info is here:

It is simply this we start with our breathing exercises using this format:

Inhale the Holy Spirit.
Exhale Love.

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Now repeat the following 3 times;

Be Still and Know That I am God.
Be Still and Know
Be Still
Be

God wake us up out of our complacency so that we may fully listen and follow you.

God wake us up out of our complacency that we may have active and meditative prayer lives that sew seeds of love, hope, joy, and mercy.

God wake us up out of our complacency to seek and serve our family members who are known as the Least of these.

God wake us up out of our complacency to care for our family members who are ill and to pray for them daily. We remember now before us____________________

God wake us up out of our complacency to strive to be peace makers, voices of the voiceless, and to speak truth to power.

God wake us up out of our complacency to not be walking in a fog while following you and that we may not fear to ask questions and exercise our minds with the mental gifts you have given us.

God wake us up out of our complacency to have courage to welcome the stranger, the lonely, the lost, and the marginalized.

God wake us up out of our complacency not to  see the things that we see on the news or in social media as business as usual. God free our emotions that we may feel and not be afraid.

God wake us up out of our complacency so that we may practice good conservation of your Cathedral of life.

God wake us up out of our complacency to pray for those edgy concerns that are on our hearts_____________

Accept these our prayers brought to you with our loving hearts that are alive in you Lord Jesus. Amen.
