Dear Family of Love,
Tonight we have a lot to celebrate, even though times are tough. We celebrate a good report from my oncologist telling me that I'm stable and Walk With Me On Our Journey has reached 85,195 page views in history. We all need to find something to be glad about, grateful for and to celebrate each and every day that we live, move, and just be. God is Good ! All the Time! All the Time ! God is Good! God is always in the details. God is always in the healing business and don't doubt that for one minute and it may be hard to see at the moment but God is there, no God is here. We need to celebrate God and God's goodness each and every day. So how do we do this ? We do this by living up to what God wants us to do towards our family members. God wants this celebration by inviting our family members to the banquet table and to see out the lost, lonely, unlovable, and especially our enemies and those who wish to do us harm and hate us. Everyone needs to eat, everyone needs to have something to drink, and everyone needs to have a place at the table set just for them. We all have a place at the table. We all should be given the robe, ring, and fatted calf every time we come home or return to to family. We are all welcome. We are all loved without question! We are all God's Children. The parable of the Prodigal Son,the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Zacchaeus, the Samaritan Woman, The Lepers, just to name a few aren't just situated there in the Bible just for our benefit when we come upon them. They are placed there as a reminder that we are to feast at God's table each and every day and to invite all to the table without question or looking for a hidden agenda. It's time to celebrate and foster unity among all members of our family. I challenge each of us to seek out our many family members who seem lost and alone. Look to your congregations and see if you know of anyone who is alone and doesn't have a support system, lovingly help them out. No one should fall through the cracks! Everyone matters and that is a necessary reminder on You Matter Monday!
Tonight Let us be at prayer and return to meditation tomorrow. If you have time you may wish to do our Mindfulness 5 +! I did mine at the oncologist's office.
Let us all remember that we all need to be like the little children who approached Jesus and he accepted them with open arms. May we all welcome all of our family and friends who are also family with loving, compassionate, and warm loving arms. I wish that I could give each of you a warm and loving embrace of welcome!
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, we pray for unity this night and may we never forget that we are to love our friends just as we love you.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, we pray for all who haven't felt the strong and loving bond of friendship.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, we pray for all who are in danger, homeless, hungry, the least of these, refugees, prisoners, captives, and all troops who are currently at war. May we learn that we are to lay down our swords and spears so that wars may cease.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, we pray for all of those who are suffering mental illness and do not have loving and supporting friends to care and comfort them.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, We pray for the healing of all who are ill and are recovering from surgery or are hospitalized, May we find it in our hearts to step up as good and faithful friends and visit and comfort them. We pray that they may offer help to their friends when they need it.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, may we all learn to be accepting and inclusive of all of our family members who may differ from us in any way. May we learn to love with out limits and conditions.
Jesus, our Loving and Compassionate Friend, Help us to make friends with our enemies and the unlovable. Give us the courage to do this and become peacemakers to your broken and fragile world.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend, hold our hands and walk with us on our journey of life and where ever God leads us.
Jesus our Loving and Compassionate Friend. We give thanks for all the wonderful memories we share with our family and friends. May we all become keepers of the lore.
