Dear Family of Love !
Happy You Matter Monday! First off I want to tell you that I love you and you matter! Now that I have said that it is on to more urgent concerns! I want us to begin to find ways to be role models in loving and listening to our family members this week and beyond. We don't have much time to get this right. Every day there is way too much hate, bullying, and violent speech and actions being done to family members for reasons that have to do with race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and just by being a different person than you are or I am. This week we are going to pray and meditate for an end to hate in all it's forms and begin to be loving and listening. Tonight's first lesson is our decorum with each other on the web. Each of us know that we often rub each other the wrong way in social media and as I said last evening words do hurt. We must begin to think before we Tweet and post. We place ourselves at risk all for all kinds of cyber bullying and hate due to our views. That is ok if you are prepared for the consequences and have a strong constitution to be able to take it. Not all of us are. Sometimes we aren't. Twitter is really now the only direct line to people, publications, and movements. You don't even have to follow to tweet to someone who is bothering you! I have Tweeted to Donald Trump many times to stop his vitriol. So what is our lesson for today please see below.
I want everyone to Tweet or Post something positive to someone you don't get along with and tell them that you love them. See what happens. Show them that you genuinely care about them. Do not expect a response, Just Say Hello!
Let us remember these famous words of scripture:
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
13If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast,* but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant 5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. 7It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 9For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; 10but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. 11When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. 12For now we see in a mirror, dimly,* but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Let us be adults with loving voices in the cyber world. Let us speak truth to power when hate is spoken. Let us always take the moral and spiritual high road and be CALM ( compassionate, accepting, loving and merciful). Before we post or Tweet let us use our adult words and remember the above.
Let us take time for silence before we enter into our Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigils. You may use the "Be Stills " if you so choose.
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.
Let us Light our Candles and be at Prayer.
Tonight I invite you all to join with us in our Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigils and pray for an end to hate in all its forms. Let us pray for God to guide our hearts, minds, and speech as we encounter one another. Let us pray for our enemies and find positive ways in which to serve and care for those who hate us. Let us pray to continue to be beacons of CALM (Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy) to this fragile and broken world. Let us practice and pray to be good examples of the fruits of the spirit
. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."Galatians 5:22-23
Now let us pray for peace and unity among all people and nations!
God who made us and makes us one we pray for unity among all people and nations
May we be one and love one another.
God who made us and makes us one lead us to put away all hindrances that divide us
May we be one and love one another
God who made us and makes us one give us the courage to see you in the eyes of all who are our enemies and wish us harm.
May we be one and love one another.
God who made us and makes us one we pray for all who are ill in body, mind, and spirit. Heal them and make them whole and may we lovingly respond to their needs.
May we be one and love one another.
God who made us and makes us one we pray for the protection of those who are protesting using peaceful non-violence.
May we be one and love one another.
God who made us and makes us one we pray for the protection of all our most vulnerable family members. Help us to see ourselves and you in their eyes and love them as you have taught us and to serve them as you have taught us to serve.
May we be one and love one another.
God who made us and makes us one. we give thanks for all those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this day.
God who made us and makes us one may we be with those who are pre-grieving and mourning any loss.
God who made us and makes us one we pray for all who are dying and have died may they find loving, joy, and oneness with you in the Thin Places.
God who made us and makes us one we offer these our prayers and thanksgivings in the most Holy Name of your Son Jesus. May we be one and love one another. Amen.
