Stop the Hate Week Continues! Putting the pieces together in preparation for Holy Week

Good Evening Dear Family of Love,

Happy Self-Care and Sabbath Rest Weekend and Palm Sunday Eve. This is our time to begin to put the pieces together from the past few weeks so that we may enter Holy Week with clean and loving hearts as we journey with Jesus yet again to and through Jerusalem, the Last Supper, to the Cross and His Resurrection on Easter. This will be a week like none other and we must continue to visit our period of being in the wilderness and seek to deepen our relationship with God, each other, and ourselves. We will continue to learn to love our enemies more fully by seeking to follow Jesus' good example. We will continue to love our neighbors  and come to know what that truly means  in this fragile and broken world. We will continue to build bridges and tear down walls. Finally we will encourage one another and those who do not read this blog to continue to strive to stop hate, bigotry, and violence in all its forms. We take time yet again to decide what to lay down and what we must pick up as followers in the Jesus Movement. Tonight we begin packing for our journey into Jerusalem. Take your palms, blanket and travel light. You don't get a donkey to ride like Jesus did but you get to walk, pray, and sing loud Hosannas as you go.  We will engage in our "Be Stills"in order to center in and journey to visit God in our heart homes.

Be Still and Know that I am God!
Be Still and know that I am.
Be Still and know.
Be Still.
Be.

Repeat as necessary until you feel contemplative and at peace.

Let us light our candles and be at prayer. We pray that as we enter into Holy week we may seek to know God more deeply. We pray that we may love God, our neighbors/family members, and ourselves more fully. We pray that we may continue to love our enemies and stop the hate that is infecting God's fragile and Broken World. We pray that we may endeavor to be God's Children by being CALM ( Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful) We pray that we may take up our crosses and join the Jesus Movement with Love Energy and ever widening heart homes. We lift up all God's children who are in vulnerable and dangerous situations. We lift up these our prayers to God and remember the words of St. Francis of Assisi :

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

God we pray that we may be compassionate and loving to others and that love, joy, hope, and peace may blossom and bear good fruit.

We pray that we may be loving and compassionate to all of our family members wherever they may be and especially in the anonymous world of cyberspace and social media.

We pray that we may post and tweet with words that uplift, comfort, and console and be life affirming and positive. May hate in any form be vanquished.

We pray that we may be mindful of when we put fingers to keyboard, paper, and any device and think before we do so. May we be mindful of the time of day. Remember the person who will be receiving it.

God may we ever be watchful of all our actions in our daily life and may they rise with acceptance before you.

May we always keep our eyes set on you and what you have commanded us to do and to be.

May we accept the path(s) that are set before us even when they are curvy and not smooth.
Help us to see those vistas you have set before us and give us the time to be at one with you in your Cathedral of life.

We pray for alertness as we walk, bike, drive, skate or any form of transport. Help us to watch for pedestrians, little children, and the elderly and disabled.

May we appreciate one another as beautiful and blossoming family members who were made in Your image and likeness O, God.

We pray that the Sun may never set on our anger, hostility, or hurt feelings. May we forgive as you have forgiven us. May we listen with the ears of the heart and be one with each other.

May we find peace during the day and may we walk with a spirit of  calmness and joy.

May we always see the blue skies and the silver linings of our lives and may we ever be grateful each minute that we live, move, and be.

Help us always to see your foot and palm prints in our hearts and as you carry us through the storms and joys of life.

May we continue to Walk with you on our journey without fear and anxiety knowing that your plans are being made plain to see even when we do not see the whole canvass.

May we continue to pray for the needs of others as we pray and walk each night and throughout the day.

May we walk with you to Jerusalem in the week ahead and find ourselves walking on our own pilgrimage out of what ever is troubling us as an exodus from the fears, anxieties, and self-doubts that plague our lives.

God grant us a night of peace, love, joy, and hope and may we find ourselves evermore falling in love with You, our family members, and your amazing creation.

Amen.
