Candles to light, prayers to pray, and having Sabbath and Community Time with our Family.

Good Evening Dear Family of  Love and God!

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I had a concert up at Cal Poly last evening and I was tired when I got home. The concert was Gustav Mahler's 2nd Symphony in C minor "The Resurrection Symphony" it was a powerful mixture of organ , large choir, and symphony orchestra. Sometimes I will take the night off just to give each other a break. If that happens please check into the library of blogs. You have over 1000 blogs to choose from. Today is Mother's Day and I wish everyone a happy one and special prayers for our mothers who now reside in the Thin Places.  Let us now return to our regularly scheduled time of worship and going deeper.

Let us take time for breathing and   centering ourselves  before we light our candles and pray.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Repeat as long as you need to.

God we light our candles today in prayer for all of our family members who have been mothers and assumed the role as mother and caretaker. We pray and give thanks for our family members who have been faithful and loving mentors. We pray for  our family members who have lived without a mother for many years. We pray that we may take care of and be good conservationist of Mother Earth. We pray this night that we may seek to be CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful).
We pray for the courage to help mothers throughout the world and especially in the war torn an terror infused areas of the world. We remember the mothers who have lost children due to abuse,  human trafficking, kidnapping, murder, and domestic violence. We pray for all mothers and fathers who are living with memory and dementia illnesses. We pray that we may learn to lean on God and accept God's mothering from time to time. Help us we pray this night to learn to follow the examples of Jesus who leaned how to be  Like a "Mother brooding over its children" Give us courage to love and watch over all of our children and family members  who need our help in time of need. Let us sew seeds of Justice, love, and mercy.  With loving and expanding heart homes with love energy to shine the light of Christ to each other we lift up these our prayers. Amen.

Gracious God who is both Father and Mother we give thanks for all who are nurturers.

Gracious God who is both Father and Mother we pray for all who nurture and who are caregivers that they may have the strength care, love, and support to accomplish daily nurturing and caregiving tasks.

And let us pray also for the many caregivers who nurture and care for us on a daily basis.

Dear God we pray for all caregivers that they may be regarded as holy people who care for our family with tender loving care.

We pray that we may step up and help them get the rest they richly and earnestly deserve.

May we be non-judgemental just because they sacrifice much to care. May we cease being opinionated and giving unwanted advice just to be helpful.

We give thanks to you O God for caregivers who have an abundance of knowledge that most of our family members do not have.

We pray for all caregiver's health, finances, and lives that are sometimes sacrificed in order to provide care.

We pray for the following Caregivers of every stripe:

Clergy
Hospital workers
Hospital Chaplains
Seminarians who are doing CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education)
Mental health workers and aides
Law enforcement personnel.
Emergency Medical Technicians
Emergency rescue personnel
Pastoral Care teams (Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, those who sit vigil at the bedside of the dying)

Mortuary personnel
Certified Nursing Assistants
Nurses
Home health aides
House keepers
In Home Supportive Services
