Let us pray for the peace of the world !

Good Evening Dear Ones!

I hope everyone had a good day and remembered that today is Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting. Tonight we place our items in the Worry/Sabbath box and get ready for meditation and prayer. We are praying for the peace of the world this night. This won't be a long blog because I think everyone is tired out and needs rest.

Let us begin bu using the "Be Stills"

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still
Be.

Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Pause.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still
Be.

Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Pause.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still
Be.

Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Pause.

God we come to you again with rattled nerves. We pray and light candles for the peace of the world. We pray for a positive outcome in Bangladesh. We pray for all those who are first responders  and those who are actively involved in rescue and care. We pray for the people in Bangladesh, Istanbul, and Orlando. We pray for safety in our cities and the nations of the world. We pray this night for all of our family members who are traveling this weekend. We lift up our prayers for every family member who are having their nerves rattled that they may return to a sense of calm inwardly and outwardly. We send our love prayers to all of our family members in this fragile and broken world.
We pray that we may be able to support those who are in need and trouble. We pray for an end to all hatred, terror, and violence and that we may sew seeds of compassion, acceptance, love, and mercy.

We pray in the words of St. Teresa of Avila.

“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”

We offer our prayers and lift up our candles in love into the arms of you O God. Amen.

As we take time to reflect, pray, and find our hearts made still and may we be made ready for prayer.

Gracious Jesus, we come to you with heavy hearts that need to feel your presence. Help us to send a message of peace to God's broken world.

Healing Jesus, we pray for all the areas of the world that have been affected by terror remembering Bangladesh, Istanbul, and Orlando. We pray for all those who have died and who have survived. We pray for all those who are mourning their losses.

Loving Jesus, we  pray for all of the war torn areas of the world remembering Iraq, Israel and Gaza, Syria, The Ukraine, Libya,  Central America where there are drug cartels. Nigeria, Sudan , South Sudan, Rwanda, and The Darfur region.

Merciful Jesus, we pray for all of our family members throughout the world that we may be united in love, mercy and justice and that we may be ready to become members in  your family.

Healing Jesus, we pray for all those who are a ill in body, mind, and spirit. We remember this night all of  the many children who are ill.

Courageous Jesus, Help us we pray to seek justice and equality in your world and that everyone may be afforded dignity no matter who they are and what their circumstances are.

Peaceful Jesus, help us to lay down our burdens and go to the other side to spend time resting and praying.

Joyful Jesus, may we always remember you in the breaking of bread and in the prayers. Help us to feel your presence wherever we go and especially in our weekly celebration with our families of faith.

Tender Jesus, may we remember all of the least of these and not look down on them and make them feel invisible. Help us to know and remember they are family too.

Occasionally Angry Jesus, may we learn and have courage to speak truth to power and to help set things aright.

Broken Jesus, We thank you for your willingness to go to the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins may we have and attitude of forgiveness and mercy towards all our family members.

Jesus in the Tomb, may we remember and feel what our lives would be with out you and may we never take You and your gift of salvation for granted.

Risen Jesus may we remember all those who have died and have risen  in glory and now reside in the Thin Places. We remember especially those who have died in Orlando and in Istanbul.

God we come to you this night still with heavy hearts and we pray as we have been doing for the past week remembering our brothers and sisters who perished at Pulse in Orlando. We pray and remember  them each by name and this night and respond with "Let light perpetual shine upon them"

God we lift up these precious ones to you as a reminder that life is precious and that we know that you know us all by name and love us. We pray that we  may come together in memory and in honor of all your children to affect positive change in this fragile and broken world that you have made. Amen.

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

Watchful Jesus, Watch over all your children and all of creation this night as we rest gentle in your arms.

All this we ask in the Holy Name of  Jesus Christ the Anointed  One. Amen.
