We all need warm fuzzies and prayer blankies now more than ever! Warm Fuzzies of Faith that's Whats for prayer time!!

Good Evening Dear Ones!

Happy Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting ! First off I'm sending you a warm and loving hug across the miles. We all need this especially with the events in Germany today. How many of you have prayer shawls, blankets, and quilts? If you don't I would designate one of your favorite ones at home for this purpose. Sometimes if you are ill or grieving someone  or your church will give you one to wrap yourselves in when you pray or when you need comforting. I was given a grieving pillow to hug when things got rough after Steve's passing. We need these warm fuzzies of faith to keep us consoled when things get rough and are alone and need comfort. Tonight let's get our blankies out and get comfy. We need a time of holy comfort from the Holy Comforter!

Here are items that might be of help if you need comfort:

A favorite stuffed animal!
A favorite pillow.
Any kind of blanket.
A comfy tee shirt or robe.
A favorite scarf or shawl.
A pair of comfy slippers
A rag doll. If you are looking for a project and want to have rag dolls that you can give your children, elderly and those who are going through trauma take a look at this website Rag Dolls 2 Love

These are what I call the warm fuzzies of  faith. Prayers and our prayer blankies tonight are what is on the menu.

Gracious and loving God we come to you this night seeking comfort in our prayers, prayer blankies, and in the warmth of the light of the candles we will light.  We pray that we may dial down all the anxiety and wrap ourselves in your love, your grace, your mercy, and warm presence. We pray that the city of Munich may be wrapped in a prayer blanket of love as the grieve the loss of life in today's act of terror. We pray for all the people around the world who are touched by violence of any kind. We pray this night that when our heads hit the pillow we may empty our minds and feel your presence singing a holy lullaby to us at our heart home level. We pray for all of our family members who are in need of warm fuzzies of faith that they may be comforted, loved, and feel safe in God's gentle arms this night and always. We pray that we may seek to be a soft place in which to fall for all of our family members in this most anxious time of ours. God we pray that we may be empowered to love our family members more fully and serve the world being empowered by the Holy Comforter. We light these our candles and pray for________________. We remember those who have died today especially___________. We lift up our prayers in your most holy name. Amen.

Dear Jesus, we pray that we may feel the warmth of your love and mercy.
May we be the light and show love and mercy to others and may they feel the warmth that we are giving.

Jesus, help us to learn to be more like you day by day.
May always remember these words:

Prayer of Saint Richard of Chichester

Thanks be to thee, my Lord Jesus Christ,
for all the benefits thou hast given me,
for all the pains and insults thou hast borne for me.
O most merciful redeemer, friend and brother,
may I know thee more clearly,
love thee more dearly,
and follow thee more nearly, day by day.
Amen.

Jesus, we pray that we may be empowered to love, serve, and help the least of these.
Give us courage Jesus, we do not know where to plant our feet and know what to do.

Jesus, help us to be peacemakers so that we may become and be the Children of God.

Jesus, heal and sooth our infirmities that we may rise and serve You and all our family members, as Peter's mother-in-law did.
Give us the right amount of daily energy to do this.

Jesus, give us grace to see you in the eyes of our enemies, strangers, refugees, immigrants, the least of these and all those with whom there is division. May we sow seeds of love, compassion, mercy.

Jesus, we pray for all the warring areas in Your Father's world especially in the places where you proclaimed  Good News and told us not to be afraid.

Take away all the fear, terror, hate, and mistrust of all of our family members who live in Your homeland and all  of  the prophets, apostles, martyrs, Matriarchs, Patriarchs, Remembering our Abrahamic family members.

Lord Jesus we name before you all those who have requested prayers and we also lay before you all our worries at your feet remembering especially___________

Jesus, may we rise to the challenge of being loving and writing positive, loving, and reassuring posts in social media. We pray that our words may heal not harm. We also pray and pledge that we will speak truth to power and use words that will empower our family members to fight on behalf of the least of these and all those who are recipients of injustice and oppression.

Jesus, we pray for all who mourn this night and we pray especially for those who have died and are dying remembering especially_____________
