De-stressing part III- it's time to put more toppings on our dessert! Tonight's topping is Joy! Meditation Key Word is Joy

Dear Family of Love,

As you may have guessed we are de-stressing by making a spiritual dessert. Sunday we started with  our main scoop of ice cream which is love, Monday we added whipped cream which is peace, and tonight we will be adding a sprinkling of Joy to our dessert. Joy is an important ingredient for us to add to all the facets in our lives. Remember we talk about body, mind, and spirit balance. Joy makes this much sweeter and a whole lot less stressful if we do. I hope everyone was intentional about taking care as this is Take Care Tuesday. For the past 24 hours I asked us to meditate and think on the word and ideal of peace. What have you discovered? Are you finding peace at the center and in your bodies, minds, and spirits? Are we prepared with God's help to become peacemakers and truly Children of God? Take time to work on this one! Being peaceful, still, and being a person of peace is difficult because we do find ourselves  in a place of judgment and dis-ease. We must strive mightily for peace in our minds and hearts and also with our family members who we may not agree with or who we have been estranged. Tonight I'm reminded of the wish I put on Facebook today and I'd like to share it with you now:My wish for you today is that you have peace and love in your hearts to the brim and overflowing and joy that reaches to the heavens! ‪#‎FollowTheStar‬  Joy is the juice that gives us energy to put smiles on our faces and those of others. Joy should make us feel like warmth that has come to reside in our hearts. Joy is is what I think the Star of Bethlehem was made of. So dear family of love let us meditate on the word Joy Tonight we will follow the same format as last evening.. Do you feel joyful? What does the word joy bring to mind ?and Is it possible to have Joy when our world is in pain and anguish? What does the word joy mean to you? Tonight's meditation music is In Dulci Jubilo- Praetorius     put your timers, mindfulness apps, or anything that keeps time. Let's set them for 5 minutes be mindful of your breathing. As you do this can you feel love, peace, and joy in your bodies, minds, and spirits? If you can ,you are  beginning to de-stress. Now say to yourselves slowly and repetitively from one of the following:

After you do this for a few minutes let's meditate on the word joy. What does the word joy mean to you? Do you feel joyful? After you consider what the word joy  means to you Begin praying, using the word joy in your prayers or you may use the following.

God who created the world in joy and called everything you made "Good" may we see the goodness in all that you have made.

God of Joy, may we have joyful hearts to receive you and your son Jesus in our hearts once more as we celebrate you as God incarnate, Man divine.

God of Joy, may we help you bring joy to all of our family members who are struggling this season.

God of Joy, may we follow you in Joyful Obedience and respond to your call with a resounding and confident yes.

God of Joy we pray for all who have entered into the Thin Places with joy. We pray for those who mourn that they may have joy when it is time.

God of Joy, we pray for all of our family members who are traveling from place to place that they may travel joyfully in safety.

God of Joy we pray that peace may prevail upon Earth and that a climate of goodwill may come among all warring and divided peoples.

God of joy, we pray for ourselves and our family members remembering especially_____We pray that if there be any sorrow, anxiety, fear, hopelessness, loneliness, that joy will come in the morning.

God of Love, Peace, and Joy may we come to feel your presence each day and listen to you and lovingly respond to your will.  We lift our prayers, thanksgivings, remembrances, and celebrations joyfully in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.

Let us remember the words of  St. Francis:

Also the words of the Magnificat

Good Night Dear Family of Love! I love you. May you take care tonight and always. May we sew seeds of love, peace, and joy together for the benefit of all humankind and all living things. May the seeds we sew be planted and rooted in the rich soil of Jesse's stem and that we may bear healthy and life giving fruit. May we these days feel our steps quickened, spirits enlivened, hearts expanded, and may we feel the Waters of Life Coursing through our veins with love, peace, and joy.

Love, peace, and joy and God's abundant blessings be with you, always,

Sara
