Dear Family of Love!
Do you know that you matter? Do you matter to yourself? Do you take yourself for granted? Do your friends and family matter to you? Why all these questions? Every first day of the month ,let's start the month off right with ourselves, our family members, and the most important one of all, God! We all need to strive to be in right relationship with all three and also with our bodies, minds, and spirits. Being in right relationship to me means we all need to periodically take stock, ask God for help and forgiveness, and learn to let go and let God. As with Lent, Advent to me is a time to keep it simple and be the gift of presence to yourself, our Family of Love, and God. God is always requesting your presence daily. Wait, Watch, and Pray daily. It doesn't have to be long and drawn out ,just enough time to check in with the holy and be at one with God. How many of you are allowing yourselves to just be and not do? Being kind to yourself is essential this time of year We get all messed up by going overboard and thinking that all of this is necessary. It isn't! I'm still deciding if this is what I want to do this year due to Dad's death. We must stop, look, and listen to what God is saying to us each and every day. God didn't have Jesus be born in a palace, but a manger! God kept it simple and humble. So we all must endeavor to live simply and be humble this time of year and always. Let's meditate on the questions above:
Do you know that you matter?
Do you matter to yourself?
Do you take yourself for granted?
Do your friends and family matter to you?
and one final one and this is the one question that will tell you more than you'll ever need to know and it is this:
Do you know that you matter to God?
You don't need to tell me the answers, those are between God and you to know.
Now let's add a few more having to do with being in right relationship:
Are you in right relationship with yourself?
Are you in right relationship with our Family of Love and all your friends and loved ones?
Are you in right relationship with your body, mind, and spirit?
Finally, Are you in right relationship with God ,your Higher Power, Creator, or YHWH ?
You don't need to tell me the answers, those are between God and you to know.
Let's meditate on these and be at prayer: Tonight's music is this:Advent Music
God of Love, who is head of our family, we thank you for creating us, loving us, and forgiving us.
God of Love,thank you for making us in your image and likeness.
God of Love, we pray for all of our Family Members throughout the world and especially our brothers and sisters who are living in exile, war torn areas, places where there is disease and discord.
God of Love, help us to love you, love ourselves, and all the members of the Family of Love and know that you love us and that we matter.
God of Love, we pray for all who are ill and in need of healing. We name them in our hearts now.
God of Love, we pray and remember all those who have lost their lives to A.I.D.S. on this World A.I.D.S. Day. We name those who have died remembering especially_____________________
God of Love, we pray for peace in this world that you created . May we be your peace makers and cause justice and love to flow down upon all of our family members who may be also our enemies. Change their minds, tenderize their hearts, and unite us in peace and harmony.
God of Love, be with all of our Family members who are traveling. We pray that you keep watch over them whatever mode of transportation they are using.
God of Love we pray this night for all those who are lonely, lost, and grieving. May we step up and show love, comfort, and compassion to them.
God of Love , give us the courage to live authentically and be ourselves just the way you created us to be.
God of Love, may we Wait Watch, and Pray with you this Advent as we prepare once again to celebrate the birth of Jesus your only begotten son.
God of Love may we Wait, Watch, and Pray with all of our family members when they need us this time of year.
God of Love, shower upon us the gift of rain to all drought parched areas of the world but most especially here in California. We pray for the cleansing and healing and return of much needed water to the reservoirs/
God of Love may we dance, sing, and lift up our hands to you this night in joyful praise.
God of Love , we ask your forgiveness for anything that we have done amiss. May we feel the holy release of our deeds, fears, anxieties, and doubts and lean only on you and in you holy presence.
God or Love, may peace, hope, joy, and love reign in our hearts and all your children this night and always.
God of Love we lift these our prayers in the name of your only begotten Son Jesus. Amen

Good Night Dear Family of Love! Do you know why I call you Family of Love? I call you this because God is Love! So we are the Family of Love (God). May our heart, spirits, and souls join together in love, peace, hope, joy and harmony. I love you and give thanks to God for you this night and always. Tomorrow is Take Care Tuesday and you know what that means? You matter and you better take care of yourselves and each of our Family of Love!
