Bringing yourself and your gifts to the table.

Dear Family of Love.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day of self-care and connecting with loved ones. I had a day where I had to make a trip to the ER to find out what this pesky cough is it turns out to be acute bronchitis. So I rest, hydrate, and honor my body! Seeing the medical staff work today reminded me that we all bring ourselves and our gifts to the table every day in so many ways. I must admit that we  never know just how we do this but , God knows, Bringing ourselves is essentially the same as being ourselves wherever we are at this very moment. We bring our foibles, insecurities, illnesses, depression, joys, sorrows, hopes, sexual orientation, gender identity, and everything else to each other as God's Children and as brothers and sisters. Remember everything that God created in us is good and in God's image and likeness. The same thing can be said of our gifts. We all have gifts that God has given us and we bring them to the table too. These two components are the face of  of us as human sacraments ,outward and visible signs of an inward and spiritual graces. We may find ourselves in confusing times but we shine as the lights that God has made us to be even in the shadows that is when God's light shines ever so brightly. So family, are you ready to bring your authentic self and the gifts God has given you and lay them gently on the table and share them with the world and all of us? I hope so! Are you ready to be a holy person and human sacrament  and bring love and peace to this our fragile and broken world? Are you ready to expand your hearts and heart homes to accept everyone and every living thing into our family? Are you ready for a new and exciting life where new gifts are being given to you by God or your preferred higher power? Are you ready to open the present ? Think on these things! Take time to meditate on this. Slowly absorb the questions and let them permeate your soul and mind. What have you discovered?  Are you surprised at what you find? Think on these things! Here is our meditation and listening music for tonight:

Canon in D - Pachelbel

Albinoni Adagio for Organ and Strings

God who created us and gave us as we bring ourselves and our gifts daily to your table.
We thank you God.

God who instills in each of us loving hearts, hands, and feet to help and serve you  may do this lovingly with kindness and mercy, May we remember the least of these today.
We pray to you O God.

God we pray for all who are in the hospital or at home facing illnesses. May they be healed and given comfort. We pray for all those who are in hospice and palliative care and those who are their caregivers.
We pray to you O God.

God we pray for families who have lost children and especially Baby Sophia's family as they mourn her loss.
We pray to you O God.

God we pray for peace among all peoples and nations that love, mercy and justice may prevail upon Earth.
We pray to you O God.

God we pray that all your children who are our brothers and sisters may feel loved and accepted for the beautiful people you have made.
We pray to you O God.

God we pray for all families and friends who are estranged from one another. May they be once again united in love.
We pray to you O God.

God we add our prayers and thanksgivings ________________________________
We pray to you O God.

We lift up these our prayers in the Holy Name of Jesus. Amen.
