Let's celebrate and remember today: We all look alike when we see our family members as loving souls and hearts made in the image and likeness of God.

Dear Family of Love,
I hope that all of you remembered that today is You Matter Monday! Today was and is my late partner Steve's birthday. He would have been 55. Lots of memories mostly good ones and free of grief and pain. Which is a good thing. Today was also the ordination and consecration of  Libby Lane who became the first woman bishop in the Church of England. For those of you who aren't an Anglican/ Episcopalian and have trouble with women in ministry this may be hard for you to accept. If you can accept me as your cyber-minister you can accept this. I'm no different as a lay minister ,albeit I'm not ordained, but God has called me to this ministry and deepening vocation which grows daily. When God called me to do this blog I remember my slight reluctance to do this because, I didn't know how I would find the words ,since I was not a writer at the time, take pictures, and construct prayers to comfort and love you without knowing what you look like or what your lives are like on a daily basis. God told me "Don't worry what their outward appearances are, look to their souls and hearts and see me!"  I did say Yes to God as I always will! God make life worth living and more adventurous. Back on topic!  When we strip our bodies away from all of this, we all look alike. Isn't that wonderful? We all look alike, That is something we all should be able to wrap ourselves around and celebrate. This is why You Matter Monday is so important when you get down on yourself  please remember that we all bring ourselves and our gifts to the table and that each of the special ingredients God instilled in us makes us unique to the world and to each other. When begin to wander into hate and divisiveness all we have to do is release these unique qualities and see loving souls and hearts that all look the same and see union with God and each other. I'm reminded of these two quotes:

Remember all means all and not some!

                                                               May we be one!

May we all meditate and celebrate that  we all look alike when we see our family as loving souls and hearts made in the image and likeness of God. May we take time to also meditate on the above quotes and find solace and loving unity.

Here is tonight's meditation music: Sheep May Safely Graze - Bach

God who sets our feet daily upon the path you have set before us help us to not be afraid but alive and in empowered to follow where you lead.

God we give thanks for special days as a reminder to celebrate and remember.

God we pray for all who live on the East Coast that they may be safe from harm and protected from the elements.

God we pray for all who are traveling that they may be patient as they face changes in schedules.

God give ourselves permission to strip our bodies bare in order to see you in our souls and loving hearts and find that we all are alike and lights to the world.

God we pray for peace in this your fragile and broken world.

God we pray for all who are pre-grieving and mourning losses of any kind.

God look down and give comfort to all those who are struggling and in need of help at this time may they be relieved and comforted and find the answers to their problems that they are seeking.

God we pray for all of our family members who are ill and in need of healing. May they be relieved and comforted from all pain.

God we pray this night for an end to division and hate. May be united in love, heart, and soul.

We pray these our prayers in the name of Jesus who came to unite and not divide. Amen.

Today's Wish: Today's wish is that no one falls through the cracks and is truly cared for and loved.
