Dear Family of Love,
Happy Self Care Saturday! I hope everyone had a good day and took time for self-care
Tonight instead of doing formal prayers like we usually do we are going to make a return to the first part of the Ripple Meditation so that as we begin our journey into Holy Week, you will have a daily framework from which to draw upon. We will be using one of the ripple pictures for our focus.
Let us begin:
The Ripple meditation is here for you to have with you as we begin our Holy Week Journey!
Gracious God You are the center of our hearts, lives, and being, help us to center ourselves in this meditation and prayer time.
We begin by closing our eyes and taking a few gentle cleansing breaths in and out. Go slow and feel your lungs expanding and contracting.
Next slowly open your eyes and do some very slow neck rolls in both directions.
Following this roll your shoulders slowly.
Take your fingers off the keyboard and make a fist and open them. Spread your fingers apart do this so that your hands may feel relaxed.
Now begin with your mouse (pebble) and drop it into the pond.
Do you see the droplet? That is where you will place your mouse.
Place your mouse near the entry into the water and Give thanks for our lives.
Place your mouse on the very small ripple and Pray for love, love, love
Place your mouse at the next ripple and Tell Jesus or your higher power what your worries are.
Hover your mouse there and ask God to be present with us every day and ask that we be present with God and for God.
Now at the next ripple, take time to calm our bodies and rest in God. Hover your mouse and stay there.
Now we take a brief pause and move to the next ripple Let us relax our bodies minds and spirits.
Now Let us breathe in God and breathe out the Holy Spirit. Do more of the breathing exercises!
Let us place our mouse on each of the remaining ripples and pray that we may be centered in God.
Close your eyes again and repeat the relaxation and meditation exercises above the ripple picture.
Take time to slowly return to God and to being present in the world and to God and each other
Take this time now to offer to God any prayers, thanksgivings, or concerns you may have for yourself and on behalf of others.
This is your Self Care Saturday Meditation! Still no music today only silence and the comforting sounds of your hearts, breathing, household, and the strains of the outdoors.

Sara
