Shivers and Tingles! What did Jesus do today after he rose from the dead? I think it has to do with ?

Dear Family of Love!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday! I hope and pray that everyone is well. Just know that I love you and keep you ever present in my heart home.
I don't know about you but Jesus keeps making these appearances that come with a lot of shivers and tingles. Today in the featured Gospel reading for the Thursday after Easter we see Jesus making his first visit to the Upper Room and to the Disciples minus Thomas. I can't imagine what went through their minds but I think I would have had a million gazillion questions! What would your questions have been? Would you have been afraid?  Let's take a look at today's Gospel from Luke and take time to meditate upon these words: Tonight we will meditate in silence.

Luke 24:36b-48

Jesus himself stood among the disciples and their companions and said to them, "Peace be with you."
They were startled and terrified, and thought that they were seeing a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I myself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. While in their joy they were disbelieving and still wondering, he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate in their presence.

Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you-- that everything written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."

Jesus you stood among your disciples and their companions, help us to feel your presence as you stand before us, with us, and by us each and every day that we live, move, and just be.

Jesus we pray that we may learn healthy eating habits from you and that we may enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Jesus help us not to be afraid when you appear in our lives and especially not to be afraid of our family members.

Jesus,we pray for peace in this fragile world.

Jesus help us to remember to be thoughtful and thankful every day of our lives.

Jesus, we pray for all of our family members who are ill and those who have had surgery and where recovery is difficult.

Jesus, raise our hearts in joy when we feel depressed and discouraged.

Jesus, we pray for those who are mourning and in a period of pre- grief.

Jesus, we pray for all who are dying and those who have died today.

Jesus, Take our hands, feet, and voices that we may serve you  in this world.

Jesus, help us to be loving to the unlovable.

Jesus, may we ever be mindful of those who are the least of these who are on  our hearts today especially________________

Jesus, we give thanks for_____________________

Jesus we lift up these our prayers to you in Your Most Holy Name. Amen.
