Dear Family of Love,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday! I'm hoping prayer walking will return tomorrow. I needed to rest my legs after today's service and give the wonky knee more care. so I have my feet up and am resting them like a good little girl should. I have to rest to get ready for an important event later in the week. Time for me to cut back on salty foods not being more in control of my diabetes. This is a reminder that we all need to do be mindful of our health. It's honoring what our bodies are telling us to do. No ifs, ans, or buts! We must do this not just for our bodies but our minds, and spirits. Beginning on Friday and through Sunday and early morning we need a complete re-boot at all levels of our being. Tonight let us reboot our bodies, minds, and spirits by first taking time to do our breathing exercises:
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Say and Repeat the following:
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Say and Repeat the following:
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Breathe in the Holy Spirit
Exhale love.
Say and Repeat the following:
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still
Be
3 cycles of these are designed to calm, quiet, and reboot your energy and spirits.
Tonight I suggest that we not use music but engage in a time of quiet and peaceful reflection.
Tonight I suggest that we go off the grid early and unplug and not have a love affair with our digital devices. If your clocks have a light setting switch turn it down to dark.make your room as dark as possible.
Now let us do a time with our ripples in the pond as our virtual meditation !
Drop the stone in the pond and meditate upon God and God's love
As the stone hits the water meditate upon God's peaceful presence and still small voice.
The first ripple meditate upon God's Cathedral of Life.
The second ripple meditate upon our need for peace in our hearts and in this fragile world in which we live.
The third ripple meditate upon our need to love and care for the least of these our family members.
The fourth ripple meditate upon the need for healthy bodies, minds, and spirits.
The fifth ripple meditate upon how we can help God in God's kingdom here on earth.
We now pray these prayers this night.
We pray this night that we may be good caregivers of our bodies, minds, and spirits and that we may honor what they need and what God needs of them.
We pray this night for all our family members who are struggling in any way.
We pray this night for all our family members who are refugees, captives, victims of violence, oppression, and abuse.
We pray that peace may prevail upon earth. May we be peacemakers and Children of God.
We pray for our family members who are ill in body, mind, and spirit. We pray for all children who are worried and praying for their ill parents and we are praying for parents who are worried and concerned and praying for their children who are going through tender times.
We pray for all of our family members and we who are grieving losses of any kind.
We pray this night for all of us who are striving to live authentically as the beautiful Children of God you made us to be and not who society thinks we should be.
We pray for all of our family members who are fighting injustice any where either at home and abroad. We pray for inclusion of all peoples on this planet. We pray that love will unite and heal any division.
We add our prayers for____________________
We add our thanksgivings for________________
We lift up these our prayers in the Name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.
