We're Baaack! See that didn't take too long!

Dear Family of Love,

We're Baaack! Yes it's true we are back home! Last evening it would not have been appropriate for me to blog in a bad mood. Yes even your friendly neighborhood blogger can get into a bad mood when flights are delayed and gates are changed willy nilly. What does that say about me? What does that say about us? It says we are human and that's a good thing! Sometimes we don't have the courage to let disappointments roll off our backs like silk on pearls. This is especially true late at night and you were hoping to get home before midnight and not 2:00 a.m. in the morning. I guess I should have been doing my breathing and meditation exercises while being stuck in the San Francisco Airport for over 5 + hours. Our breathing and meditation exercises are what's on our menu tonight and prayers as well. But first let us take time for a bit of musical meditation that will help us relax and center:

The Grail Prayer

Before we do our breathing exercises let us take off our shoes for this is holy ground and a holy time to be together and pray.

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Be Still and Know that I am God
Be Still and Know that I am God
Be Still and Know that I am God

Be Still and Know
Be Still and Know
Be Still and Know

Be Still
Be Still
Be Still

Be
Be
Be

Repeat 3 times.

We pray this night that when we find ourselves in a time of anxiety that we may remember to rely on you and to take time to meditate and pray.

We pray this night for all who are traveling that they may be kept safe from harm.

We pray this night for an end to violence and injustice.

We pray for peace in the world and in our minds.

We pray for an end to all forms of human trafficking and human rights violations.

We pray for all who are ailing that they may be healed and comforted

We pray for all who are finding it hard to find work and the courage to keep on trying.

We pray for all who are faced with making difficult decisions.

We pray for  all who are grieving and beginning to grieve losses of any kind.

We pray for our family members  nearby and far away. We pray that we may never forget that our family members include our enemies and those whom we are estranged.

We pray for all who are depressed, lonely, and marginalized.

We pray  for all who are dying and those who have died today  pray that their  transition will be one of  quiet peace and joy.

We pray for the sustaining and conserving of God's Cathedral of Life.

We pray to be the voice for the voiceless, and that we may speak truth to power with love and conviction.

We pray for____________________________________

We give thanks for________________________________

We lift up these our prayers in the Name of  Jesus the Christ. Amen.
