Making Every Day and Nano Second Count

Dear Family of Love,

I hope everyone remembered that today is Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday! Here we are yet again on our weekly day of thoughtfulness and thanksgiving. The calendar keeps marching on whether we like it or not. I hope that we are making every day and nano second  count we may not get these days back. As many of us watch Vice President and his family grieve the loss of Beau we are reminded every day how precious life is and that we don't get a do over. We get certain second  chances in life not second chances in living. One life in our bodies and minds is all we get,  but we must remember that our souls are eternal. While we live, move, and just be we need to count our blessings and  make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. When we go to sleep tonight let us count our blessings and when we awaken let us try to ask ourselves how we can make a difference in the lives of our family members today. Tonight let us do our mindfulness meditation with our timers, music,  or  singing bowl app at a pace that you so choose !  But first let us do our breathing exercises!

God as we enter this time of thoughtful silence help us lay down our burdens and anxieties. Let us clear our minds so they may be fixed on you O God.

God we pray that we may have a wonderful conversation and time with you  and that we may listen with holy ears.

Let us begin and find peace at the center.

If you need help to quiet your mind please use this phrase.

Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

God we thank you for this time of quietness we are spending with and  before you.

God we give thanks for our many blessings this day remembering especially____________

God we pray for our family members nearby and far away.

God we  pray for our family members who are the least of these that they may find safe shelter, nourishing food, and protective clothing this night.

God we remember and pray for peace in the world and in our hearts.

God we remember and pray for all children and elderly that they may be protected from harm and abuse.

God we remember and pray for all of our family members who are refugees, captives, victims of human trafficking, and acts of violence.

God we remember and pray for all who are in grief and that we may be loving and compassionate towards them.

God we remember and pray that we may be good stewards of  your creation and Cathedral of Life.

God we pray for sound governance and peace in the world and that justice, equality, and  universal human rights may be afforded to all.

God we pray for all of our family members who are struggling to live authentically without feeling invisible and not included.  May we always remember that You O God love all of us and not some. We pray that everyone may know and remember that you made each of us in your image and likeness and love us equally.

God we add our prayers and those prayers that have been requested by our  family members especially____________

God we lift up these our prayers in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
