#AdventWord #Forgive -Hash tags with meaning- reflections on today day 4 of our Advent Adventure

Dear Family of Love,

We never know what each day will bring. Today our hearts were made even heavier by the latest incident of terrorism in our country. I'm not going to sugar coat these incidents any longer and neither should we. We have come face to face with daily acts of evil all over the world and these actions need to stop. I'm not sure how these things can be stopped. I don't like engaging in violence for violence sake. Remember on Sunday our #AdventWord was #WakeUp that's exactly what we should be doing. We must continue to Stand Up, Speak Up, and Step Up to the plate and act to find some concrete way to stop these acts. But first we need to pray and  meditate and soften our hearts by asking God to help us to be forgiving and loving. So let us be meditating and praying but first:

Let us light a candle and be at prayer!

Let us not forget the #AdventWord key words here:

God we pray for an end to all acts of violence and terror.

God we pray for the community of  San Bernardino and all communities that have been affected by gun violence and terror.

God, wake us up out of our malaise so that we may speak truth to power.

God give us courage in our prayers, actions, and hearts to proclaim your Good News.

God help us to be more giving and loving unconditionally without feeling we trapped into doing so.

God help us to learn the art of forgiveness and that we may learn how to lay aside these grudges and hurts so that we let go and let you in.

God wake us up so that we may serve you and the least of these nearby and far away.

God we pray that we may proclaim you in your acts of justice, love, and mercy.

God help us to give of ourselves so that we may be the agents of change in the world.

God forgive us any wrongs we may have committed this day in either thought, word, or deed.

God we  pray that we may wake up each day and feel your loving presence.

God we pray for all our family members this day especially______________________

God we give thanks today for__________________________

For our Enemies

O God, the Father of all, whose Son commanded us to love
our enemies: Lead them and us from prejudice to truth;
deliver them and us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge; and in
your good time enable us all to stand reconciled before you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

Good Night Dear Ones ! Let us be the light, love, hope, joy and peace bearers to a fragile and broken world. I love you. I give God thanks for you each and every day.

Love, hope, joy, and peace,

Sara
