Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on our Advent Journey!
Happy Sunday! Today's #AdventWord is #Care. Tonight we are going to play a word game by making statements with the letters in the word CARE. Get out your pens and pencils or computer sticky notes and let's see how many meaningful words and phrases we can make.
Remember our #AdventWord is #Care what is tomorrow's ______________?
I am a CARE (Christian Against Religious Extremism)
Because God Loves Me I am ( Compassionate, Accepting, Real, and Equal)
Because God Loves you, you are to be (Caring, Authentic, Robust, and Empowered)
Because God has called us to serve the world in God's Name we are to be involved in Communities Against Racial and Religious Exclusion.
Because I am a Child of God I was Created, Accepted, Raised, and Empowered in God's image.
Jesus Cared enough to be the Crucified Agent who Redeemed Everyone
Jesus Cares enough to teach us to be Compassionate, Accepting, Real, Evangelists who spread the Good News as we are, to a fragile and broken world.
God Calls us to Be Conservationists Against Rampant Extinction of the world's resources.
I want to be a CARE Giver by Showing Compassion, Being Attentive, Giving Respite, to everyone who is vulnerable.
Because I am human I need CARE (Consistent and Regular Exercise)
CARE =
Christians Against Racial Enmity
Christians Against Religious Extremism
Christians Aiding Refugees
How did you do? It isn't always easy but we all need to be CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful) and have CARing (considerate, authentic, relationships with everyone)

As you can see that about sums up all of us! So that means that we are each other's keeper and caregiver. Are we let off the hook from being a caregiver? No we are all called by God to love, care, serve all of our family members who are in need of care. I hope this makes sense to everyone. Tonight I invite everyone to prepare a list of who are the caregivers in your lives and pray for them.
Let us light a Candle and Be At Prayer:
God and caregiver of us all, help us we pray and remember that you have called us to be caregivers to each other and all of our family members nearby and far away.
God and caregiver of us all, give all caregivers the courage to say "No" and find respite when they become tired.
God and caregiver of us all, help us to help all caregivers and be ready to step up and care for them as they care for us.
God and caregiver of us all, help us we pray to become nurturers to all of Your children.
God and caregiver of us all, we pray for all of your children who are the least of these that they may find shelter from the cold, storms, and places where they will feel safe this night .
God and caregiver of us all, help us to remember that when we speak for the voiceless we are standing in the caregiver role.
God and caregiver of us all help us to be sensitive and empathetic to each others needs and situations.
God and caregiver of us all help us to listen for cues about how we can lovingly respond to the needs of those whom we do not know.
God and caregiver of us all, help us to keep our faith, humor, and our bodies, minds, and spirits healthy as we give care.
God and caregiver of us all, help us to comfort and be compassionate to those who mourn
God and caregiver of us all, we pray for all who work in the mortuary and funeral ministries that they may know that caring for the dead is as important than caring for the living.
God and caregiver of us all, we pray for all caregivers in our lives remembering especially_______________
God and caregiver of us all, we offer prayers for ourselves and on behalf of our family members remembering____________
God and caregiver of us all, we pray for all Good Samaritans as we lay these prayers at the feet of and in the Holy Name of Your Son Jesus, who taught us many things about being caregivers. Amen.
