Our penultimate #AdventWord : #Reflect ! : Hash Tags with meaning! Taking time to #reflect and find solace!

Dear Family of Love!

Wow! Advent is coming to a close and that is as good a time as any to #Reflect upon many things that this season has brought us. Remember how we talk about going deeper into the center? That my dear family is what we call reflection. The word reflection means this :

re·flect
rəˈflekt/
verb
1.
(of a surface or body) throw back (heat, light, or sound) without absorbing it.
"when the sun's rays hit the earth a lot of the heat is reflected back into space"
synonyms: send back, throw back, cast back
"the snow reflects light"
2.
think deeply or carefully about.
"he reflected with sadness on the unhappiness of his marriage"
synonyms: think about, give thought to, consider, give consideration to, review, mull over, contemplate, cogitate about/on, meditate on, muse on, brood on/over, turn over in one's mind; archaicpore on
"he reflected on his responsibilities"

We here at Walk With Me On Our Journey do quite a bit of reflection. This is very important for our spiritual lives because it helps us to go deeper into relationship with God. Advent and Christmas are times where we must reflect upon God's gift of God's son Jesus and at this time of year Jesus' humanity as an infant, as a refugee, as an anticipated Messiah, a Light to the Gentiles, etc. Jesus gives us the road we must follow and the road is paved with  CALM -Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy. I encourage everyone to take time in the still quiet hours remaining in this season of Advent to #Reflect and ready ourselves to #receive God's light again in the incarnation of Jesus.

Let us first do a virtual labyrinth walk to calm ourselves and allow us to become more reflective;

Now let us be in our reflective mode but first let us light our candle to place us there!

Be Still and Know that I am God!
Be Still and know.
Be Still.
Be

The Light of Christ in Me recognizes the Light of Christ in you!

Be Still and know that I am God!
Be Still and know.
Be Still
Be

The love of Christ in Me Loves the Love of Christ in you!

Be Still and Know that I am God!
Be Still and Know.
Be Still.
Be

The peace of God that resides in me resides in you.

Be Still and know that I am God.
Be Still and know.
Be Still.
Be.

I reflect the light of God to others and shine  the light of God to a fragile and broken world.

Be Still and know that I am God.
Be Still and know.
Be Still.
Be.

Peace be still.
Let us be CALM - Compassionate, Accepting, Loving and Merciful.

Let us be at prayer so that we may find solace and reflect upon the season of Advent.

Gracious God and Holy Jesus you knew how important it was to find solace, peace, and renewal as you walked in the garden and went over to the other side of the lake to rest and pray. Show us these places and lead us to find solace, peace, and renewal.

God we pray this night for all of our family members who cannot find peace, solace, and renewal.  We pray that they may find help and healing of their minds, hearts, and spirits.

God we pray that we ourselves may find peace in our heart homes so that we may feel your presence within our hearts and listen with your still small voice.

God we pray  for all who are traveling  they may have peaceful and safe journeys home.

God we pray that this world may be a place of peace, solace, and renewal and that all peoples of the earth may be united as one.

God we pray for all those who are afflicted with mental illness, depression, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) may they receive help and find peace.

God we pray for our family members who are mourning any loss. May we step up and help them find peace and give them a soft place in which to fall.

God we pray for ourselves and on behalf of  our family members who have asked us to pray for them remembering _______________.

God we pray these prayers in the name of Jesus your Only Son . Amen.

++++
Good Night Dear family of Love, May you find solace, peace, and renewal as you rest gentle in God's arms and feel God's loving presence enfolding you! I love you and Give thanks to God always for you this day and always!

With Love, peace, Joy, and Love,
