#AdventWord #Shine Hash Tags With Meaning: Day 13 of our Advent Adventure: It's time to shine!

Dear Family of Love!

Happy what's left of Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting! Don't forget to place your worries, fears, mads, and all negative thoughts you may have in your Worry/Sabbath box/jar tonight or early tomorrow. Today's #AdventWord is #Shine. We all must be God's Light to each other and the world and that includes our enemies. How do we shine?

Here are a few ideas of mine:

Have courage to spread God's Good News.
Show love to all wherever you go.
Smile and never look down on people.
Be CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful)
Care for your selves as you would have our family members care for you.
Radiate a peaceful demeanor.
Give of yourselves without condition.
Learn to show humor in tricky situations.
Be patient with all  service workers this season.
Walk with a spring in your step.
Sing lustily and with heart.
Be a light to those who are going through dark times.
Love, love, love, and more love!
Open your hearts to life's possibilities.
Keep a positive outlook in life.
Release yourself from all negativity and be the Living Bible to those who haven't heard the Good news.
Include family members you normally wouldn't.

What's on your list?
Take time to meditate on our #AdventWord #Shine and create your own list.

Remember we look ahead to the next #AdventWord remembering today's is #Shine and look towards tomorrow:

After we take our time making our #Shine list let us Light a Candle and say a prayer for all of our family members

God help us to shine your light to the world.  Open our hearts wide so that our family members whom we know and don't know may see your light shine through us.

God help us to be the light to others and especially our family members who are in dark places at the moment. Help us to remember to pray for the least of these and be lights to them as they are to us.

God give us courage to shine the light of justice to a world that is in need of equality, acceptance, universal human rights and liberty.

God  help us to be able to shine lights in areas of the world that are plagued by injustice, oppression, terror, and war.

God help us to be sources of comfort to those who are ill  or in grief.

God we pray for those whom we name now and that our hearts may be illumined to  pray for the urgent concerns you have laid upon our hearts.

God  we give thanks to you for bringing Jesus the light  of the world  to us and all people.

Let us pray these words to each other:

The light of Christ In me recognizes the light of Christ in you.

Prayers with light in them. From the BCP

O Gracious Light Phos hilaron

O gracious Light,
pure brightness of the everliving Father in heaven,
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!
Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and to be glorified through all the worlds.

The Song of Simeon Nunc dimittis

Luke 2:29-32

Lord, you now have set your servant free *
to go in peace as you have promised;
For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior, *
whom you have prepared for all the world to see:
A Light to enlighten the nations, *
and the glory of your people Israel.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: *
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

Be our light in the darkness, O Lord, and in your great mercy
defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the
love of your only Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

God, we pray that we may carry your light into the world and serve you with love and a lightness of being. May we shine brightly to others so that they may see you in us, through us, and around us.
We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
