Walking and praying in the rain and giving thanks to God! An Infinity walk too! ( 8 miles and maybe a little more in one walk)

Dear Family of Love,

I hope everyone is well. Today is Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday! Our weekly time to pay it forward, give thanks to God, and count our many blessings! We have so much to be grateful for and sometimes I know it isn't always easy to see the silver lining in the clouds, but it is there! We never know what paths our lives will take and that means we always should be grateful and in tune with God's presence. Today I found myself walking and praying in the rain and giving thanks to God and hoping that the blessed water droplets from the sky would be more plentiful.  I felt so happy and peaceful I did a 8 to 9 mile walk and got home before it was dark. I call this walk the Grand Tour. Lots to see on this quiet, rainy, and cloudy walk. Tonight we will take a bit of meditation time to just be at peace and find ourselves in the presence of God. Here is my favorite mantra if you wish to call it that to help us go deeper.

We pray this night that we may always be grateful and never take anything in this life for granted.

We pray this night for all of our family members who are living with chronic illnesses of body and mind. We remember especially those who are living with PTSD and the affects of war and violence.

We pray this night for all of  our family members who are lonely and in need of love and comfort. May we lovingly respond to their needs and give them a soft place to fall.

We pray this night for all of our family members who are the least of these who are in need of  food, shelter, and clothing. We pray that they may find safe shelter for the night.

We pray this night for all who are grieving losses of any kind. We remember especially those who have lost parents or siblings.

We pray this night for all who are transitioning into  Life Eternal and those who have made the journey this day. We pray that they found joy in the release of their earthly bodies so that that their souls could joyfully take flight and enter the Thin Places.

We pray this night for an end to all violence, division, and abuse. We pray that peace, kindness, unity and gentleness may prevail.

We pray this night that we may be peacemakers and Children of God.

We pray this night for the courage to reduce our carbon footprints and be mindful that everything we do has an effect on your Cathedral of Life. Help us to find ways to be good conservationist and stop the bad effects of global warming.

We pray for rain in all the drought parched areas of the Earth.

We add our additional prayers and praises here and offer them in the name of Jesus. Amen.
