Epiphanies and Holy A Ha Moments!

Dear Family of Love!

Happy Epiphany! I hope everyone is enjoying the first Wednesday of the year and the feast of Epiphany. Today we get to add the 3 wise men to our creches.  Epiphany is one of my favorite feast days to celebrate because it is the one that gives us time to reflect upon hospitality, giving, taking risks while seeking out God not only in the world outside but inwardly as well. We are always called to continually follow the Star and that is Jesus. This time of seeking, following, and having epiphanies are very important for our spiritual selves because it puts us into an a ha frame of mind. How many of us during the seasons of Advent and Christmas have had profound A HA moments? If you haven't it must mean that you probably forgot how important waiting and being awake is so that we can be receptive to having these A HA moments. It's time to wake up and see what God is trying to show us!

So dear one before we enter into our prayer vigil let us take time and sit and go deeper and see if you can have an epiphany or Holy A HA moment.

Tonight's Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigil is dedicated to our family members who feel lost, lonely, alone , and invisible. We pray for all of our family members who are living on the margins and without a compassionate, accepting, loving, and merciful -CALM support system to lovingly enfold them and give them hope Let us light our candles and be at prayer.

.

Gracious God who lead the Magi by the light of  a star to the Holy Family may we always be led to you and follow where you lead us, each day that we live, move, and be.

Gracious God who leads us each day to new and amazing epiphanies may we keep our eyes and spirits fresh to seek and see the many epiphanies around us.

Gracious God who leads us to care from the depths of our heart homes may we offer our prayers for our family members who are struggling. Remembering____________________

Gracious God who  has called us all by name and counted each hair on our heads as precious, may we see all our family members and yes, even our enemies as our beloved brothers and sisters whom you have made.

Gracious God we pray for all who are ill and especially all those who are in hospitals, care facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Heal them O Lord and may they feel your loving presence as they take it one day at a time on their healing journey.

Gracious God we pray for all who mourn the loss of  family members past and present.

Gracious God we pray for peace in our own land in in the nations of the world where there is violence, war, degradation, and terror.

Gracious God be with all those who are homeless, hungry, and ill clothed during the extreme weather. We pray for all the least of these. May we rise and help them O God.

Gracious God we continue to pray for _________________.

Gracious God we continue to give thanks for our many blessings made manifest this day and always.

Gracious God we lay these our prayers in the arms and in the name of your Son Jesus' who  is our healer, redeemer, brother, friend, and teacher. Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed night! Rest well dearly loved ones! I love you! When you wake may you feel refreshed and renewed to be thoughtful and thankful once again as we always do on Thursday. I give thanks for you this night and always.

With love, hope, peace, and joy,
