Dear Family of Love,
Happy day of Sabbath Rest. I hope all is well I had a good day for the most part. Today I was looking forward to the new series "Belief" by Oprah Winfrey. This is going to be an important part of our discussion for the next few days. Please check your local listings so that you'll be prepared for some of the things that will come up in our meditations. Tonight's topic was Seekers! How many of us are still seeking something on our life's pilgrimage? Is this seeking like Don Quixote and the "Impossible Dream" or something else? This week we are going to go on a virtual pilgrimage that will take us on sacred pathways outside and inwardly. I'm inviting everyone tonight to get rest and still keep your minds clear and gunk free. We all must rid ourselves of many of the things that keep us from being united with God, ourselves, and each other.
Here are our meditation steps for the week:
Let us start by finding a place of quiet in our home where we are away from distractions
.Once we find our "Happy Place " in our home let us find a comfortable chair
Sit down gently in the chair.
Let us begin by taking a few of our deep and cleansing breaths with our eyes closed.
Think of the words that we use for our mindfulness and breathing exercises. Tonight I'm going to suggest that we do this on our own because you won't always have the guide with you.
Next we are going to do relaxation exercises from head to to by squeezing and releasing ever muscle group and some gentle stretches.Don't forget to do toe and hand wigglies.
After you have completed these steps it is time for our Mindfulness 5+ sits. We do this without moving a muscle. Let us add 5 minutes each day for the next week.
Today we are going to spend a few minutes seeking God in the quiet doing our sit.
Tomorrow we are going to Seek God within ourselves on You Matter Monday by meditating and going deeper into our heart homes.
In the coming days we are going to do all three as in the title of tonight's blog along with our viewing of "Belief"
Here is the link to the program: Belief : Start Seeking today!

Tonight let us pray for our Family of Love/ God and sit at the feet of God in prayerful contemplation.
God who made us family, may we reconnect and become united with all of our family members.
God who made us family, may we look out and care for those who may feel alone and invisible.
God who made us family , help us to help all those who need us to advocate for them by using our voices, feet, writing, and arms.
God who made us family, help us to help you be caring for our family members who need us to be by their sides while they heal from illness.
God who made us family, may we always help care for the most vulnerable members of our family. This night we remember children, elderly, and those with mental illness.
God who made us family, help us to console those who mourn/
God who made us family, help us to be loving to all and practice and make peace wherever we go.
God who made us family, we pray for the least of these.
God who made us family, we pray for all of our family members remembering especially_____________
God who made us family, we pray for all living things that connects us to the earth.
God who made us family, we pray for peace in all the world and in the war torn areas of the world that we may learn to love one another and sew seeds of love, hope, peace, justice, and universal human rights.
God who made us family, we pray this night for all who are lost, homeless, hungry, and are estranged from their family members.
God who made us family, may we be united in loving acceptance with all faith communities and learn what unites us rather than separates us.
God who made us family, we lift up these our prayers in the name of your son Jesus, Amen.
