Keeping my feet up and praying in place!

Dear Family of Love!

I have developed a strange side effect of my chemotherapy called hand and foot syndrome. My feet as I told you are achy and looked like blisters/ callouses. I was in a lot of pain this morning and I called my oncology nurse and she told me to keep my feet up as much as possible and use Udderly Smooth on my feet. So my friends I am having my feet up as we speak! This presents challenges but with God's help we will meet them. We will be praying in place and mixing things up! We all need to keep our senses of humor and make things easy for ourselves. We all need to take time to live, love, laugh, and find the joy in life and living! Let's begin our prayer time with a song from "The Lion King"  Hakuna Matata or if you want a little more faith oriented song; Psalm 23 - Bobby McFerrin

Jesus we come to you this night with many burdens that seem all too great but you have told us to lay them down and find rest. Help us to do just that and find peace and comfort in your loving arms.

Jesus we come to ask you for the return of health and that all our ills may be healed. We pray especially for our family members who are ill and struggling with side effects of treatment. We pray especially for ___________ that they may find relief and comfort.

Jesus we pray for all of our family members who are in mourning this night that they may be comforted and consoled.

Jesus we pray for our family members who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault that they may be believed, protected, and have the courage to find a way out of these situations. 

Jesus May we be ready to listen to the cries of all of your children.

Jesus we give thanks for the good things of Social Media that we may be able to help those in any need and give our family members ears to listen, hearts to help, and a soft place to fall.

Jesus we continue to pray for Peace in the Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, South Sudan, the Middle East, and every war torn country in the world

Jesus help us ever to be mindful of the Least of these that we may be directed to them and that we may give loving and compassionate help.

Jesus help us to respond to your call to follow you with out fear but with a resounding Yes!

Jesus we thank you for times of rest to pray and be in conversation with you. Help us to listen with the ear of the hearts.

Jesus we pray for the protection of all who are in harms way tonight remembering all the 51 million refugees in the world.

Jesus we pray for rain that the we may be good stewards of God's Cathedral of Life.

We lift up these our prayers to you Jesus and Thank You that you are at work accomplishing them in God's time. Amen.

Almighty God, whose blessed Son restored Mary Magdalene to health of body and mind, and called her to be a witness of his resurrection: Mercifully grant that by your grace we may be healed of all our infirmities and know you in the power of his endless life; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Good Night Dear Ones! I love you and hope that I/we will be back on my/our feet on the pilgrimage trail in no time. For now we are resting and praying in place in God's holy oasis where we take time to be still and know that God is doing marvelous things although we may not be able to see it right away. I give thanks to God for you this day and always!
