Dear Family of Love!
Happy You Matter Monday! Today is Monday post chemo and I am feeling well and happy. Yes, dear family my energy is up and my tiredness is down. I can't believe the difference between this cycle and the last. As the scriptures say "This is the Lord's doing ; it is marvelous in our eyes" God is always showing us something daily and we need to expect exciting things and even sometimes in the humdrum parts of our lives. I hope you all have been intentional about getting rest and doing your reflections, if not here is your time to rest and reflect and find peace at the center. Let us take time to pray and give thanks for all that God has done in our lives today.
God we pray that a spirit of understanding may grow between Christians of different denominations and that we may learn to respect and rejoice in our differences.
God we pray for all of our family members who are battling cancer and who are newly diagnosed. We pray for their loved ones and all those who will be on their medical treatment and caregiving teams.
We pray for an end to all violence in our land and around the world that peace may rain down like showers upon the Earth.
We pray for all those who have trouble resting and accepting help to be able to receive your healing.
We pray for all those who are hospitalized and in the different varieties of care facilities. We pray for safe living conditions and compassionate care givers.
We pray for our homeless, hungry, and marginalized family members. We pray for their safety and shelter tonight and that they may feel safe and secure wherever they are.
We pray for all of the social service agencies who provide necessary resources for all of our vulnerable family members.
We pray for all those who are discerning vocations and seeking new life paths.
We pray for all those who are afraid to be the beautifully authentic Children of God whom you have made.
We pray for those who are dying and have entered the Thin Places today and especially those who mourn that they may receive comfort and compassion.
We pray for rain in the drought parched areas of the world and in our country. We pray that we may learn to conserve water and all natural resources.
We pray this night especially for those who have asked us for our prayers especially_______________and ourselves as well.
We pray this night that we may serve you daily in your kingdom and joyfully take up your Cross and mantle daily in Your service to all of our family members who are in need.
We take this time to reflect on those things that we have done that we need to ask forgiveness for and that we may strive to do better in our lives daily as we live move, and be.
We give thanks to God for our many blessings especially for____________________________
We offer our additional prayers, thanksgivings, remembrances, and celebrations to you Lord Jesus in Your Name. Amen.
