Pre-Chemo eve with an added attraction! A prayer walk!

Dear Family of Love and Life Pilgrims Together

Well it's Bastille Day, Pre-Chemo Eve, the day when the Church of England approved women as bishops, and a day when I decided to prayer walk on the eve of hopefully my 5th chemo treatment.
Lots of important things on this #YouMatterMonday!  God and my body told me to get a move on and take a walk because it is necessary to keep things in check body, mind, and spirit-wise So that is exactly what I did this evening and even earlier than planned. What have you done for your bodies, minds, and spirits today that has made you feel well, healthy, and your mental cobwebs cleaned out?
Today it has been muggy and the marine layer was in full force and we had a few drops of rain while I was prayer walking and it felt really good to feel the drops of rain and smell the rainy smell.  Both cleansed my head gave me more peace. Today in our social media family I have been seeing a lot of depressed, lonely, and unsure family members. Tonight I'm going to give you a few suggestions on how to manage Mondays!

                                                        Managing Mondays A Creative Approach

When you wake up on Monday tell yourself  " I matter to God and I matter to me!"

Don't be in a rush to get out of bed unless you are pressed for time. Put on the Timer for 10 minutes or listen to music! Or this: Good Day Sunshine -Beatles

If you are in a relationship and living with someone! Morning cuddling and a little romance works wonders!

Pray and give thanks for waking up!

Have a good nutritious breakfast  - Watch Coffee, energy drinks and salty foods

Take your coffee to work along with water bottles! Hydration helps the mood.

Wear bright colors ! Yes it really works!

Make a point to be positive.

If you are alone call that special someone and tell them that you love them.

Take time to get ready and allow plenty of time to get to work

Create a positive routine for your mornings!

Don't let the office staff rattle your cage.

If you can find a place to eat lunch outdoors. The sun is good for you!

Take time for physical and spiritual fitness!

Take an art, music, writing, dance, pottery, photography class on Monday evening

Make Mondays instead of Fridays Date nights and get a babysitter

Pray and meditate.

Finally make yourself Priority One and make sure that you know that you are loved, you matter, and you can find people who will validate and value you being you!

I said this last week in a Facebook Post: : LIVE YOUR TRUTH AND BE AUTHENTIC, FOLLOW YOUR BLISS, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF. LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, DON'T JUST DO,BE!

*****

Tonight I ask your prayers for the following:

Peace in the world especially in Israel and Palestine

Family members who are living with mental illness

For all refugees who are far from home. For compassionate immigration reform.

For loving and compassionate hearts to see God in everyone's face no matter who they are.

For family members who are traveling and especially all those who are making pilgrimage to all the sacred sites around the world.

We pray for good health and the healing of our bodies, minds, and spirits and all those who have asked us to pray for them.

We pray for justice and the courage to speak truth to power when we are called to do so. May we speak out for the rights of others and not remain silent in the face of injustice.

We pray that we may not be afraid or anxious. May we ever consider the lilies.

We pray for rain in the drought parched areas of our country and around the world.

We pray for our family members who are mourning the loss of friends, family and loved ones. We pray especially for those who have suffered the loss of their homes and livelihoods.

We pray for all who are discerning vocations to ministry and seeking new life paths and employment.

We pray for all those who keep us safe from harm at the local, county, state, and national level.

We pray for caregivers especially tonight those who work in the mortuary industry and all hospice workers.

We add our own petitions:

Especially for_____________
In remembrance of__________________
In celebration for ___________________
In Thanksgiving for_________________

We ask these prayers in your Name Lord Jesus. Amen.
