Post Chemo Reflection 4

Dear Family of Love,

Today I finished Chemo Cycle 4 on the 4th of July Eve! Lots to think, pray and reflect about between the early fireworks and loud bangs. I'm amazed that this chemo wasn't as bad but I am beginning to feel the fatigue set in. That's a good sign due to the fact that it gives me an indication that I actually did have medication going through my pump. Before I went over to have may chemo pump detached I walked the labyrinth over at Marian's Healing Garden and Courtyard. I did this last evening too. I finally know what to do when I have the chemo pump! It makes for good prayer walking! Walking a labyrinth is a powerful way to pray and  get much needed rest.  Here are a few of today's pix from today's early prayer walking pilgrimage:
Let us pray and reflect up on our and be thankful and thoughtful for all the goodness God has done in our lives today.

 We pray and remember all those who are in the path of  Arthur  and that everyone will be safe and secure and that there won't be any loss of life, property, and livelihoods.

 We pray for all who are in ill and hospitalized and fighting for their lives. We pray for our family members who wait at bedside. We especially pray for our family members who have pets that are ill and are in need of care.

 We give thanks for times to be in your Cathedral of Life and that we may breathe in your spirit of love, mercy, and grace and make us mindful of the needs of your world, others, and not our own.

 As we stand in the center of the Labyrinth  may we reflect and pray what is in the center of our hearts and remember all urgent concerns that we have on our minds.

 God we give thanks to you for your gift of healing waters that we may be cleansed, refreshed, and renewed with the Living Waters of Life that courses through our veins.

Psalm 121 comes to mind.

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

We pray especially for peace in the world and an end to violence and hostility.

We pray for all those who are in religious life and all orders of ministry.

We pray for courage to meet each day's challenges and that we may not fear any thing  along the  way of our life's journey.

God we pray for all of our family members and pets who are sensitive to Fireworks. May they be protected and loved.

We give thanks O God that you have called many of our family members to protect us while we sleep and when we are awake.

We pray for all who travel on this the 4th of July weekend and for alertness as they drive.

God we lift up additional prayers to you this night remembering especially those who are on our hearts now______________________

We ask these our prayers in Jesus' Name. Amen.
