Time to Stop, Look, Listen, and wait for what is to come!

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey!

Well we are still find ourselves in the Holy 3 Days or Triduum. In some churches there are Easter Vigils happening. Our church doesn't have one this evening and that's okay. I found by walking and praying and taking time to stop, look, listen and by waiting for what is to come very meaningful tonight. It has been years since I had taken a walk on Easter Eve, but tonight was and is special. Today and this evening God wants us to wait just awhile longer to put a period on Lent 2014. I know it feels like we are living in a time of suspension and awful waiting, maybe that's part of God's plan for us. We need to stop, look, listen, and do watchful waiting with a period of prayer and reflection. We can't, as I have said before skip steps in any of our lives and especially in our lives of faith. We can't go from Palm Sunday to Easter without going through the events of Holy Week, and especially the Holy 3 days or the feast of Our Lord's Resurrection. won't have any meaning at all.  God has shown me that we all have to be in a place of watchful waiting in our lives of faith and in our own personal lives as well. That being said let's take time to Stop, Look, Listen and Wait as we pray along with some of tonight's images:

God we give thanks for this time of waiting and praying as we await with longing expectation for the Feast of  Our Lord's Resurrection tomorrow.

May we take time once again to Stop, Look, Listen and Wait without fear and trembling as the Apostles did those days so long ago. May we see that in waiting we are allowing ourselves once again to be emptied before being filled with our Lord tomorrow. May we find ourselves like new wine skins and new life ready to do God's will in God's Kingdom.

Let us take time to reflect upon the new life Jesus will be bringing us tomorrow.

May we have the courage to give sanctuary to all those who need it and respect the dignity of every human being. May our hearts find sanctuary in you  O God and may we live our lives as people who are loving and compassionate towards those who seem to be unlovable and unloving.
Help us to be able to reflect your light to our family members throughout the world.  Let us keep this in mind tonight: The Light of Christ in me Recognizes the Light of Christ in you.
May we remember this night and tomorrow the promises made at our Baptism and may we drink of the Living Water and feel the Water of life coursing through our veins.

Let us take time to Stop, Look and Listen and pray for all of our family members and the many prayer requests they have lovingly given to us  We add our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances as well.

God may continue to walk with you on the journey you have set before us. But tonight let us be at peace and take time for rest, refreshment, and renewal.
We give you thanks for safely leading us home and we pray especially for all those who are near and dear to us especially all of our family members who are away from us  and those  who are ill.
Help us to wait with joyful suspense for tomorrow and what is to come a little while longer, in your arms of love and mercy. All this we pray in Jesus' most Holy Name. Amen.

That's all for tonight! Don't forget to add some fun into the mix tomorrow and always! It's time for some fun along with going to your local Faith Factory for worship. What is the Faith Factory you ask? It is my word for church.
Take time to Stop, Look, and Listen to this! I love you, You matter and won't you Walk With me On Our Journey this night and always? I hope your answer is yes ! We have a lot more tasks that God is giving us on our daily prayer walking pilgrimage of love, hope, peace, and joy.

The Light of Christ in Me Recognizes the light of Christ in You always,

Sara
