I was glad when God said unto us , let us go into God's Cathedral of Life, seek and you will find God,Listen for God's Still small voice and take time to rest and pray.

Good Evening Dear Family of Love!

Happy Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting.  I hope everyone is ready for Self and Sabbath Care weekend! This weekend I would like all of us to make time for outside time and to enter God's Cathedral of life with gladness and thanksgiving. Many of us are so locked in to the grid, tv, and inside time and we forget how important fresh air is to our whole being.  I think and know that God is felt more often in the outdoors than inside our homes. Today I spent time at Port San Luis enjoying the Pacific Ocean and seeing he seagulls, pelicans, sea lions who were very noisy. The sound of the water was glorious and very soothing. Here is our weekend challenge with variations from scripture in the title of tonight's blog: I was glad when God said unto us , let us go into God's Cathedral of Life, seek and you will find God, Listen for God's Still small voice in the breeze and in the sound of the waves, and take time to rest and pray.
 To get you ready for our outdoor time please listen to these. Nature Sounds for relaxation!
Just sit back and relax! When you are ready you my turn off the nature sounds and return here. Now take a few deep and cleansing breaths to refocus yourself to the present and still moment. Let us begin to prepare for our Self and Sabbath Care Weekend by offering up our worries, anxieties, fears, and all those things that we find ourselves being troubled about to God and by placing them in our Worry/Sabbath Box. After you and we do this let us listen to The Mix Featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams and Others as we pray.

God guide us this night that we may find you in the Waters of Life and at the time of the evening breeze.

God console our restless hearts that we may find rest and listen for your still small voice.

God make us glad to be your children and members of your family and that we may give thanks daily for our adoption as your beloved ones.

God keep watch over all of the vulnerable and the least of these this night and always.

God give us the courage to step out courage and proclaim your Good News of Love to all whom we may meet not just in words but in deeds.

God take from us any hatred, bitterness, and unwelcome thoughts and actions we may find ourselves acting out.

God help us to love and forgive ourselves and family members fully each day.

God we pray for all who are preparing for worship and all the many faith communities that will be meeting this weekend. We pray for love, understanding, and a spirit of cooperation among us all.

God we pray for an end to all the senseless violence in our towns and in the world. We pray for peace and justice and universal human rights.

God we pray for all caregivers of any stripe that they may find respite, peace, and have the courage to say no.

God we enter into a time of prayer and thanksgiving___________________ and offer these our prayers and thanksgivings in the arms of our loving Savior Jesus. Amen.

Today in the Episcopal Lectionary we commemorate the feast day of Jonathan Myrick Daniels and here is the prayer/collect and lessons for his day. These are optional of course. Here is the link to his bio. Jonathan Myrick Daniels

O God of justice and compassion, you put down the proud and mighty from their place, and lift up the poor and the afflicted: we give you thanks for your faithful witness Jonathan Myrick Daniels, who, in the midst of injustice and violence, risked and gave his life for another; and we pray that we, following his example, may make no peace with oppression; through Jesus Christ the just one, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 3:22-28

The scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Now before faith came, we were imprisoned and guarded under the law until faith would be revealed. Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a disciplinarian, for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

8
I will listen to what the LORD God is saying, *
for he is speaking peace to his faithful people
and to those who turn their hearts to him.

9
Truly, his salvation is very near to those who fear him, *
that his glory may dwell in our land.

10
Mercy and truth have met together; *
righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11
Truth shall spring up from the earth, *
and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12
The LORD will indeed grant prosperity, *
and our land will yield its increase.

13
Righteousness shall go before him, *
and peace shall be a pathway for his feet.

Luke 1:46-55

Mary said,
"My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
according to the promise he made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever."
