The Week Let's Talk About Health and Wellness: Our bodies, minds, and spirits! Caring for our fragile selves when we need to.

Dear Family of Love!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly Without Fretting. Tonight as we begin our Self and Sabbath Care preparations and also as part of our Health and Wellness Week we need to talk about caring for our fragile selves when we need to. This isn't a suggestion, this is a must. We are all fragile beings from time to time and I would like to put it out there most of the time.
We mustn't take ourselves and others for granted. In this world where we seek to glorify busyness in more forms than we even know and care about, we find ourselves doing our bodies, minds, and spirits harm. This is where rest, prayer, meditation, ridding ourselves from rampant worry is a must. All of this busyness, rampant worry and the need to feel as though we are in a hamster wheel of life isn't good for us and our loved ones who find us in these situations. Tonight we are going to have a primer about self-care: Using David Letterman's top 10 list from the bottom to the top!

10: Being mindful of our stress level.
9 Taking time for spa days and, beauty and manscaping regimens.
8. Keeping hydrated
7  Getting enough sleep.
6. Being kind to your self.
5. Eating nutritious foods
4. Daily Exercise.
3 Placing all your worries etc. into your Worry/ Sabbath Jars.
2 Getting away from it all to rest and pray.
1 Loving yourself as God Loves you!

Now let us take time for our Walk With Me On Our Journey Mindfulness exercises  and then prayer time.. It is simply this we start with our breathing exercises using this format:

Inhale the Holy Spirit.
Exhale Love.

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Inhale the Holy Spirit
Exhale Love

Now repeat the following 3 times;

Be Still and Know That I am God.
Be Still and Know
Be Still
Be

Now get out some kind of timer, mindfulness app, or music and set them for 5 minutes as we get more accustomed  to being in silence and sitting we may add and extend our time. Then close your eyes and be silent. If the music goes long don't worry that will lead you into our time of prayer and thanksgiving.

Here is tonight's meditation music: Einaudi -Divenire

Take time to listen to this one by Sting:  Fragile- With Lyrics  Read and listen to the lyrics.

God you created everything on this planet and even ourselves as fragile beings help us to learn to protect and care for each fragile being from harm and exploitation.

God we pray that we may love and care for ourselves with the knowledge that we may someday will find ourselves in an even more fragile condition.

God we pray for all of our family members who are having a fragile and tender time with their bodies, minds, and spirits.

God give us courage to lay down our burdens and seek rest, relaxation, and renewal.

God we pray for all of our family members who live in fragile and war torn areas of  the world that their may be peace on the earth.

God give us permission to take time to be with ourselves and you.

God we pray and give thanks for_______________________

God wrap our precious souls in your arms tonight as we take our rest.

We ask these our prayers in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
