Moons, holidays, and Wednesdays! Not in that order!

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

Did anyone notice that today was the first Wednesday without a holiday? I did, and I am relieved that we are over them for awhile. But wait, since God created 7 days shouldn't we see them each as a kind of holy day with it's own uniqueness. Sunday is our Holy Day of Rest and shouldn't  the remaining days of  the week  have elements of the holy too?  How about this?
Sunday: Sabbath Rest and checking in with your faith community.
Monday: Meditating on God's Word and Making Melody to the Lord
Tuesday : Talking  with God and Trusting In Him
Wednesday:  Taking a Walk with God and seeing the Wonder of God's Cathedral of Life
Thursday: Being Thankful and Thoughtful with an attitude of Gratitude towards God and all that God does and is doing in our lives.
Friday: Keeping The Faith Friday and being Fearless not fearful or fretful
Saturday :Singing Praises to Our Lord and stepping up and serving God in your community.
The above are ways to make every day have a sense of the holy. I will still walk, pray, and write as a way of keeping these days holy as well. Combining all of the above  in some way ,every day will make our lives  more enriched and spiritually grounded.

On tonight's walk, there was a beautiful ring around the moon!  This brought to mind the old prayer:
I see the Moon and The Moon sees me
God bless the Moon and God bless me. Amen.
 When I saw the ring around the moon tonight, I thought about how God encircles us and draws us ever nearer every day with love, grace, and mercy. Our spiritual hearts ,not our physical hearts, need to be in an ongoing expansion and tenderizing plan. Just when we thought our hearts couldn't get any bigger God does the most amazing thing ,God adds more love and compassionate real estate in our hearts. My spirit is enlivened further if I let go of things that cannot be changed and learn how to be accepting. Dwelling on things only make it worse. Let Go, Let God, Let Love and acceptance in! It takes work, but it is ever so worth it. We all must be loving, living, thinking, walking, and praying in the key of Jesus or if you aren't a Christian your higher power. Dear family of love that is all for tonight! I hope this isn't confusing for you! Lots to chew on when we are trying to get our post holiday equilibrium back on track. 

Maybe this prayer will help:
Dear Lord, help us to become more focused on You! Take our scattered minds and make the thoughts we have, flow with the Water of Life that Courses through our veins. Give us direction so that our journey with you will be as you have planned, not using our own GPS system. Help us to pray more, love more, and focus more on the doing of your will. Amen.
