Time to rest but before we do let's pray in place!

Good Evening Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

Wow what a day! I felt like I was back with Steve at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church  while down at the Cathedral Center for the Martin Luther King Celebration this afternoon. Bishop Michael Curry of North Carolina was the dynamic preacher and talked about everyone being family. Sound familiar? It does to me and I know it does to you too. I love being with another part of our family. In any event I was able to get home safely! Let's have a time of praying in place.

Gracious God we give thanks for heroes of faith and justice especially  Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Dorothy Day, Jonathan Myrick Daniels, Medgar Evers, the Little Rock Nine, and all those who are unknown family members who "strive for justice and peace"  and known only to you O Lord.

We give thanks for the opportunities you give us to speak truth to power and help justice roll down as your family.

We pray for all those who are deprived of due process and justice.

We pray for those who are being denied equal protection under the law.

We give thanks for our being family members of yours O Lord.

Lord God help us to lay down our bodies and take our rest and quiet our minds that we may feel your arms  comforting and protecting us.

Help us to wake up happy in the morning and be beacons of hope, peace, joy, and  love and be the lights to the world and may we ring the bells of freedom and justice for all.

All this we ask in your name Lord Jesus the fore-runner of social justice and equality. Amen.

Dear ones that is all for tonight! I love you  and I am blessed to call you family and am thankful to God for you this day and always! Tomorrow we walk for justice, peace, and love.

Love and peace of mind !
