Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,
As I was looking at our initial blog description for the past few weeks and today as well, I felt it was time to make changes to reflect what our blog really is about and here it is!
New Description: This blog is about my daily prayer walking, picture taking pilgrimage as a response to God's spirit and to encourage everyone to start taking a daily prayer walking journey. Pictures, prayers and music are included in this blog. On non-walking days, prayers are prayed in place. Prayer requests are encouraged and welcome.
Our journey continues on in Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, and in the Light of Christ. All this with an amazing renewal of spirit and purpose. We will still be focused on life balance that includes our bodies,minds, and spirits. Balance helps us in our lives so that we never are out of harmony. If one of those three are not working correctly we will have some kind of problem. Walking is for our body, prayer is for our spirits, and thinking and meditating on what is written in this blog is for the mind. We have all three. It is always good to go back from time to time and take a look at where we have been and where we are going ! I know we walk the El Camino Real each day but, we not only walk that route ,we walk in the Light of God. Remember the old blogs when I would remind us all why we walk? Here is a new twist: I/we walk to give hope, make peace, bring joy, and show love to the world. We must never forget that prayer is our work and that we must be active in it during our outside time in God's Cathedral of Life as we walk with God on our journey, and when we find ourselves prayer walking by praying at place at home or where ever we may find ourselves.
I always love to put in the preparations for walking and praying so that we all remember that prayer walking is what we are about and not just physical fitness solely. Here are the preps again. I love to see them every so often as a reminder too:
We prepare ourselves by hydrating with the image of Living Water coursing through our veins, tying our laces securely, wrapping our bodies with God's Warm prayer coat.
We invite God on our walk using these words or your own. God we invite you as you invite us to walk with you on our journey. Enliven our spirits, quicken our steps and open our hearts as we pray and walk. Amen.

Dear Lord, we thank you for allowing us to walk and carry your Good News with us while we pray and walk. Help us to be walking ambassadors in our communities and wherever our walks may take us. Give our feet the swiftness of spirit and enthusiasm to carry your Gospel into the world with love, joy, peace, and hope. May we always shine with the light of your love and healing to all and may we always remember that we have said "Yes" when you asked us to walk with you on our journey. All this we ask in your Son Our Lord Jesus' name. Amen.
