Hello Journey People!
You don't know how I missed you last evening! Our time together has become very special and necessary for my fitness and spiritual life. I learned many things at my class reunion if you can call it that, and it is this; we can't and mustn't get caught in the vortex of the past. In other words you can't go back only forward. Tonight I felt that when I offered prayers for many people and especially your requests, and the concerns of a broken world, and walked, it kept me and yes, even us in the present and leading us onward into the future. God is ever present and always ahead of the game. So don't be afraid, God is always many steps ahead of us and that should be of great comfort.
This week's challenge is to get outside and get those feet walking. If you can't go very far just walk down to the end of the driveway or end of the street. Please make sure you have good walking shoes and that you have good lighting. Always keep alert to the pavement where you live and if it is really bad call your city or community services district to get it on the repair list.
One final note: One of the photos will show a flag pole on Mariposa with the flag at half mast in honor and memory of our latest casualty in Afghanistan. Spc. Kenneth Clifford Alvarez. We still need to keep our
troops in prayer and forever in our hearts and minds.
