Walking the blues away by learning to Add some music to your day

Hi Gang!

I must admit that for some reason or other I was deeply and painfully depressed today. I missed Steve, my mom, and not having someone to pal around with. Loneliness does come to call now and then. As I said before in the grieving process one doesn't get to skip steps and fill up their lives with filler. Filler can be anything used to fill in the gaps or the emptiness.  I should be used to being alone and not having a group of friends to do things with. This was the way things were pre-Steve. Just because you have a church family doesn't mean you have a built in social group and a cadre of friends to pal around or do things with.  This year, I'm having to readjust not having him and one of my besties Megan around. They were about a year apart in their passings. So,what to do? Stay home and get drunk tonight? Don't go for a walk? Neither of those seemed the right course.

Aha! The only thing that I can do and did was to take a walk and pray and have fun courtesy of the Beach Boys and their "50th Anniversary Live Tour album" Lots of fun stuff to listen to and feel Steve in the Thin Places and remember our best time of all at the Beach Boys Concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl courtesy the Santa Barbara Dream Foundation.
There's a song on the album called "Add some music to your day"

Add some music to your day By the Beach Boys!

The sunday mornin' gospel goes good with a song
There's blues, folk, and country, and rock like a rollin' stone
The world could come together as one
If everybody under the sun
Add some music to your day
(Add some music add some add some music to your day)
A bob didit a bop didit

You'll hear it while you're walkin' by a neighbor's home
You'll hear it faintly in the distance when you're on the phone
You're sittin' in a dentist's chair
And they've got music for you there
To add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day
A bob didit a bop didit

Add some music music everywhere (add some music)
Add some add some add some add some music (add some music)
Your doctor knows it keeps you calm
Your preacher adds it to his psalms
So add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day

Music
(Add some music add some music)
When you're alone
(Add some music add some music)
Is like a companion
(Add some music add some music)
For your lonely soul
Oo oo oo woo oo woo oo oo oo oooo

When day is over (when day is over)
I close my tired eyes (I close my tired)
Music is in my soul

At a movie you can feel it touching your heart
And on every day of the summertime
You'll hear children chasing ice cream carts
They'll play it on your wedding day
There must be 'bout a million ways
To add some music
(Add some music add some add some music to your)
To your day

Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day
Add some music to your day

I think the Beach Boys have it all together with this one. Also tonight is Friday Night Lights and it's time "To Be True to Your School!" boy, that one made me think of high school and all my dear classmates and our yearbook pictures. Sometimes God gifts us with some amazing ways in which to heal and feel the love that we thought we'd never feel again. So take time to Add some music to your day and don't forget to walk and pray.
I love you!
Love and peace of mind!
Sara

Marcella-Beach Boys   I always thought they were singing "My Sara" Oh Well! :)
